A/N
I decided to put my A/N at the beginning because I really want you all to read this.
I made a new cover for my book (its at the end of this chapter) let me know if you like this. If it gets a good number of comments (minimum 20 comments), I will upload it as my official book cover.
Thank you 😉Everything here looked exactly like earth. The trees, the air, the smell of wet soil, everything. We were yet to come across any human, er....shadows. We did see a few animals at a distance, they looked exactly like the animals backs home, except they looked almost translucent. No big deal right? Just a planet filled with translucent living beings. Shrugging I started jogging to keep up with Erramun's speed.
Something felt off, like something was missing. I looked around trying to figure out what exactly was missing. It was noon, the sun was overhead. But I did not feel the warmth. Looking up I noticed the sky for the first time.
"What. The. Hell.?"
It was daylight but the sky was pitch dark, it was like a black canopy covering the entire sky. A huge ball of light, was hanging in the center. It provided light just like the sun, but it lacked the warmth. It looked more like a giant flashlight focusing downwards, as its rays failed to illuminate the sky.
"I see you have noticed The Luminous. It was a gift to Umbra, from Eos, the goddess of dawn, and the sister of goddess Selene. Its a replica of the mighty sun, made in its likeness but not as powerful as the giant ball of fire. The goddess of dawn created a giant beam that would provide light to Umbra, and hung it in the sky."
I simply nodded, I get it, but I don't really understand everything's what's going on here.
"Look Erramun, I don't think I understand what's going on here, but I know for sure I do not belong here. I have to go back to Earth. I have my while life waiting for me there. My mom, you don't even know how overdramatic she gets. She would be howling down the neighborhood crying for her not so dead son. So just send me back to the Veiled Henge, I'll find my way back from there." I said almost pleadingly."I can't." He replied flatly.
"Sure you can, you are the key, you got me here. You can send me back too. I will always be extremely grateful towards you for saving my life, but this place isn't meant for me. I have to go back." I said, my voice raising along with my determination to go back.
"I can't take you back Abell, for I wasn't the one who brought you here. I was instructed to warn you against the danger that was coming. Imagine my surprise when I see you laying unconscious in front of the gates of heaven. All I knew was that I couldn't let you bleed to death. So I requested Rafal, our head healer to he heal your wounds. We had to let you stay unconscious, to let your body recover from the injuries and quick healing. I waited by your side to lead you through the gates. I don't know who brought you here, it wasn't the goddess of darkness cause she would never abandon anyone at the gate. She always escorts them till their new habitat, before biding her farewell." He said.
I didn't know what to say, I didn't know what to even think anymore. Who was my savior? Why did they save me? Why had they brought me here? What's the purpose of this visit? How can a place like this even exist? And if it did why hadn't anyone discovered it yet?
So many questions revolving around my head. Finally I chose to ask the least complicated one.
"Where are we going now?""To the one who may have some answers to your questions.

Until next time.
Be nice to people.
