Daniel's POV

I couldn't focus, Benson was telling me a story but I couldn't pay attention, there was a tiny guy in my pocket. That shouldn't be possible! It couldn't be possible, but yet I could feel him shaking and squirming around in my pocket. I could only hope that Benson didn't notice him moving through the fabric of my pocket.

"Daniel!" Benson called waving his hand in front of my face.

"Huh? What?" I asked snapping into focus.

"You weren't paying attention, and you look super stressed." He told me. "What's up with you?"

"Nothing!" I said defensively, "I'm just... tired." I paused to fake a yawn. Trust me I love Benson, but all I wanted to do right now was go home and talk to the little guy I found.

"You sure?" Benson asked suspiciously, "You know you can talk about anything with me right?"

"Yes, yes I know. Can we just reschedule?" I pleaded.

"Fine." Benson sighed, "Next week work for you?" I nodded and stood up. "Remember you can tell me anything." I rolled my eyes and nodded again, a said a short goodbye. Sammy and I walked out of the cafe after paying half the bill.

As I walked I could feel the little guy curl into a tiny ball. I could feel him trembling in fear. Honestly I wasn't surprised I must have been huge compared to him.

I got back home as quickly as possible, I let Sammy of of his leash and he instantly laid down on the cool hardwood floor of the kitchen he panted and let his tongue hang loosely out of his mouth. I scratched his ears and walked over the the kitchen counter and sat down on a stool.

I bit my lip and reached into my pocket. The little person shrieked and scrambled away from my fingers, it didn't make much of a difference considering that there wasn't much room in the pocket. I carefully curled my fingers around his tiny body. I pulled him out and let him sit in my open palms.

He was absolutely minuscule, only about four inches tall, he had dark blonde hair, and beautiful turquoise eyes that were red and puffy from tears. He scrambled away from my face only to run into my fingers. He looked around helplessly and he drew his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. He buried his head in his arms, and shook.

I bit my lip, "If I set you down, can you promise me that you won't run?"

He looked up at me with hopeful eyes and nodded. I lowered my hands to the counter and tilted them so he could slide off them. As soon as his feet hit the ground he sighed in relief. "Th-Thank you." He murmured.

"You're welcome." I replied trying to keep calm. I was talking to a four inch tall person! Everything about this situation was wrong, tiny people were not supposed to exist! That's just common sense, but yet here this guy was.

"You're not going to hurt me are you?"

"What?" I asked, I never would have hurt him, that was just wrong.

"I-I was raised to believe that humans would hurt me, but you seem nice, y-you aren't going to hurt me right?" He asked fear coming lacing his voice.

"No!" I said a little too loud, he flinched back, "Sorry," I said quieter, "I-I just, I would never hurt you, just because you're small doesn't mean you're not human. Hurting you would be well, inhuman."

"Thanks, th-that means a lot. I-I'm Jason."

"Jason," I repeated, "That's a nice name, I'm Daniel."

"Thanks, uh, yeah I know." Jason told me sheepishly.

"What? How do you know my name?" I asked tilting my head to the side.
