The demon was close behind. You kept running, panting, sweating, and you were scared to death. It caught up to you and grabbed your arm, it's touch burning your arm. "You're done for!" The demon yelled as his black eyes flickered back to the familiar blue ones you so often saw.

"Help!" You screamed awaking yourself from slumber.

The boys were gone and you were alone as you looked around the dark room and wished Cas was there.

You had only met Cas a few months ago, and you're feelings for him quickly grew. His sparkeling ocean blue eyes, his dark hair that was usually messy, he was so blunt and innocent. Everything about him was perfect.

You turned to the lamp on your bed to turn it on, there was no going back to sleep now.

"Y/N," Cas moved closer to you emerging from the corner, "are you okay?" His eyes looked at you with serious concern.

"Cas, how long have you been there?" You asked covering up your exposed leg.

"That doesn't answer my question." Cas says sitting at the foot of your bed waiting for you to tell him you were fine like you always did.

"Just a bad dream Cas, I'm fine." You lied, thinking of the dream, the demon had possessed Cas and he was trying to kill you.

Remembering the dream your eyes teared up. You cared about Cas so much and the thought of him hurting you, it was just too much.

"Y/N, I'd never-" he started but you cut him off.

"Get out of my head. I told you before, I can feel you in my head, I don't like it." You said harshly as you scooted away from Cas. Your vivid memories of the dream still flashing in your mind.

"I'm sorry Y/N, but I had to know why you were looking at me like that," he said as he scooted closer, filling the gap you had made. "It hurts me to see you like this. You know I care for you and would never hurt you, I want to help you."

As he finished saying this he pulled his trench coat and sports jacket off. Cas kicked his shoes off and took his tie off as well. You started at him in confusion.

"Cas, wh-what are you doing? You're practically naked." You said confused.

You had liked this angle from day one, the way he looked at you, the way he was, just everything about him was perfect to you. You're head was spinning from all the ways this could go.

"Dean told me when I see a woman that is scared to hold her tight and not to let go until she says so." He said as he embraced you rather tightly.

Your head was against his chest and your bare leg was against his clothed one. His hand ran up and down your back. You sat there for a moment in silence, taking in every wondrous second of his tight embrace.

"Y/N?...Are you okay, your heart rate is speeding up dear?" Cas asked as he looked into your eyes and held on to your shoulders leaving a little space between the two of you.

"I, uh, I'm fine Castiel." You siad trying to guard your thoughts in case he tried to read them again, you weren't exactly thinking holy thoughts about Cas at the moment.

"Are you sure? Because now you're guarding your thoughts from me Y/N, what is it you don't want me to know?" He asked with a smirk on his face.

You shook your head a little to quickly "n..n...nothing Cas, just, uh, just trying to focus." You're voice as uneven as ever.

Cas narrowed his eyes at you and cocked his head to the side. Gosh he was georgous when he was trying to figure you out.

"Focus on what?" Cas finally said after a few moments of watching you.

"Uh, calm...calming down. I'm trying to focus on calming down." You said obviously flustered.

His eyes narrowed again and he nodded slowly. You could only guard your thoughts for so long, you knew before long he'd get in your head and figure out your feelings.

"I've known for a while..." Cas said breaking your thoughts.

Crap. He got in your head.

"Yeah, um, I..." before you could finish Cas kissed you.

The kiss was passionate and loving.

"I feel the same way about you Y/N. I just didn't know how to tell you, but you feel how I feel. And you keep thinking of the word love, if this is love, then Y/N, I love you." Cas said and kissed you again.

"I will always be here to protect you from your nightmares, and I will never hurt you. Ever." He put emphasis on the last word.

Tears were starting to well in your eyes. You just held Cas tighter, and finally drifted off into a deep sleep with the angel's arms around you.
