Donte POV
"How's my favorite girl?,"I said walking up behind Era and hugging her tightly. She pushed me off and slammed her locker shut.
"Not having a good morning I see,"she sighed.
"Donte you won't believe it,"she said walking off assuming I would follow. She soon noticed I wasn't.
"What are you doing, come on,"I smiled and joined her side.
"Just wanted to see how long you would take bef-"
"Yeah yeah whatever, so am sitting at the dinner table, just Sam and I when someone rings the doorbell and interrupts,"I shook my head as a gesticulation for her to go on.
"And so I meet no one other than Cole, beat up and bruised down"
I sighed a bit annoyed about the fact that I still have to hear about her and Coleman's issues;when there isn't even a 'her and Coleman' and hasn't been for two months now. After she told her little story she asked me my opinion as always.
"You know what you need?,"
"No what?,"she asked stopping at her homeroom.
"A female best friend, yeah, someone female,"
"Are you serious?,I need your help and your being completely insensitive,"
"You don't need my help Era,your perfectly fine, it's Coleman that needs the help. Look if you want my advice, stop coming to me for advice. Especially for him".I kissed her forehead and walked towards my homeroom two classes down.
I knew she would be upset, but I honesty didn't care about Coleman and was getting sick of hearing his name.
Physical Education...
"Run,run, run ya bunch of pansies!!,"coach yelled over and over. It felt as if my heart was trying to beat out of my chest. If I died I was totally suing his ass.
We were previously in the gym. This was one of the few classes Era and I had together, although she and all the other girls were on their side of the gym playing volleyball. We still managed to talk here and there.
"Ok take a break, five minutes and then we run over practice!",coach said leaving us and disappearing into his office.
"Hey mate,he's new right chum?",Zack gestures towards a guy sitting to top of the bleachers alone as he watched the girls play. I shrugged.
"Never seen him before, I guess so,"I said turning my attention back to their game. I squeezed some Gatorade from my bottle into my mouth. I didn't very much like the girls volleyball outfits. At least not on Era,those tight orange shorts were for girls with no shape and Era didn't struggle in that department. And seeing how this new guy keeps staring at her he realizes it to.
Era's like a little sister to me,and I really wasn't comfortable with people looking at her that way.
"Ok,let's play,shirt verses skin",
Coach said walking towards us with his clip board. I know this was my second chance to prove I could actually play instead of sitting up on the bench all game. I pulled my shirt over my head and run out onto the court. Coach glared at me but said nothing.
