Niall’s POV
I sat curled up in the corner, my teeth digging into my bottom lip.
Someone now knew that I was in here, someone finally knows.
I picked myself up and groaned in the process, walking over to the mirror and examining the person on the other side.
It was a girl.
She had a terrified look on her face, her eyes glued to the mirror. Could she see me? I moved closer to the mirror and took in her appearance. Her hair was up and out of her face showing her piercing brown eyes, the rest of her was covered with an oversized hoodie. Her lip quivered as she stepped closer to the mirror, picking up the rag that sat in the sink and began scrubbing at the mirror. She bit down at her lip in concentration as her eyebrows furrowed together.
“Come on... come on…” she whimpered out quietly and dropped the rag back into the sink, rubbing at her face, “I’m going crazy… crazy…” she chuckled and turned from the mirror, her back to me.
I pressed my hand to the mirror and moved my fingers back, deciding whether or not to tap once more. I didn’t want to scare her more than how frightened she was already, I don’t know if I should… should I? Before I could she had tuned off the lights to the restroom and shut the door. I tapped against the mirror and moved as my forehead rested against the cold surface, a small sigh tumbling from my lips. My hands found their way onto the wall, resting against the bloody handprints I had left, prints were everywhere. Curling up in the corner I sobbed quietly and hugged my knees to my bony chest, I wanted to get out of here; I needed to get out of here. I lay on the cold cement floor, screwing my eyes shut as I started to drift off.
-
“Baby…” a voice whispered as I was being cradled in her arms, her smile blurry, but I knew who it belonged to. Mum.
I tried to speak, I tried to move, but I couldn’t. Her face showed horror as I was then dropped from her arms. She was being dragged away from me. I could’ve saved her, yet I didn’t even try.
-
I woke in a sweat and curled up; sobs tumbling out as I shook my head quickly.
“I’m sorry... I’m sorry!” I yelled and started pounding against the walls and kicking my feet.
“I’m sorry!” I yelled and started to run around the room, banging, kicking, and scratching at the walls, banging at the walls by the mirror. I stopped in the middle of the room and ran my fingers through my hair. I couldn’t hold it in anymore… I tugged at my hair and let out a scream. My eyes screwed shut once again as I broke down, tumbling to the floor not being able to contain all the screams I have kept inside.
“Let me out!” I sobbed and brought my hands up to cover my face and to quiet the sobs that escaped my lips.
I could have saved my mum, I could have, but I didn’t even try.
Ivory’s POV
“What in the hell is going on in here?” My dad came running into the room as I sat in bed, eyes wide as I looked over at him.
“I-Its nothing dad… I was watching a scary movie and, and it was just too loud. I’m sorry for waking you.” I rambled on, my eyes glancing towards the restrooms’ door and then back at him.
“You have school tomorrow, you shouldn’t be watching movies. Go to bed.” He said and with that he closed the door once again. I waited till I saw the hall lights turn off as I pulled the covers off of my legs as I ran into the bathroom and turned on the light, looking around.
