"Do you know how painful it is, to see you fight for me, to cry for me, when we both know, I don't have much left to live?" -Both
Harry's POV:
Another hour went by and before I knew it, we were already docking at the ports.
"Easy now! Drop the anchor and lower the bridge, we have to get Bella off this ship as soon as possible." I command, shouting at the men on the ship, watching as they nodded fervently, seeming quite concerned about Bella's health as well.
"Shayla, watch over. I'm grabbing Bella." I say to the redhead, who nods to me obediently as I rush off to my quarters again, going into the bedroom and looking at my wife, who was still unconscious in the bed.
"Don't worry, we'll get you fixed soon." I whisper, gently picking her up bridal style from the bed, carrying her as carefully as I could. Getting back out onto the deck, I was relieved to see that the men had actually listened to my orders.
Walking straight down the bridge, I walk quickly across the dock, Shayla hot on my heels as we hurried. My feet set straight on the path that would lead us to Bella's mother's house.
I grimly thought about the meeting, knowing Bella's mother would most likely think it was me who did this to her daughter...and although that isn't exactly the truth...it would still be hard for her to forgive me for something else.
"Shayla, go inform Louis and Niall. I'll have Phillipa send a carriage for you if you don't make it back with them on time." I say and she hesitates for a moment, the look in her blue eyes screaming she wanted to argue about what I said. After a few seconds pass she lets out a long sigh before nodding, muttering a "Yes" before diverting from my path, sprinting across the sand and going off into town.
Swallowing hard, I approached Bella's mother's house, rushing past the gates and up to the large front doors. Since Bella was heavy in my arms, I couldn't reach out an arm to knock, so instead I kicked the front door hard with my foot, banging on the door again and again to get their attention.
Confused voices came on the other side of the door and I cursed under my breath, putting my throbbing foot back down on the ground, knowing that one way or another they were going to answer me.
The maid opened up the door, looking shocked to see me before she looked down, her eyes going wider than ever as she saw Bella's unmoving body in my arms. She covered her mouth to prevent herself from screaming, looking back up at me and I saw the accusatory look in her eyes.
"She got hurt while we were out at sea. We were ambushed." I say and she breathes hard, nodding to me. Her face was pale as she waved me inside. "Go straight to Bella's old room, it's up the stairs, first door on your right. I'll get her mother and a doctor. Layla is asleep and I intend to keep it that way." she says shakily, walking away from me and I follow her instructions.
Layla...I forgot. If she saw her mother like this, she would be in hysterics. She wouldn't know how to handle it if she saw Bella bloody and on death's door like this.
Hastily I make my way upstairs, getting into Bella's room and looking around, wondering just where I was supposed to put her. Eventually I just laid her on the bed, knowing that they could replace the sheets if they needed to. Bella was much more important than those stupid bed sheets.
Looking at Bella's pale face, I tapped my foot anxiously against the floor, impatiently waiting for the maid...Darla? Debra? Something like that. Waiting for her to get back with everyone was a pain in my ass, because the more time they took, the closer to death Bella got.
As if they had heard me, the door flies open, revealing Bella's mother, the maid, and Queen Phillipa, all looking quite panicked.
"Where's the doctor?" I ask, noticing the lack of one, but Phillipa rushes past me, going to Bella and rolling up her sleeves.
