{Chapter Twelve - Escape}

You took a shaky breath and tried to relax your body. Bandages were all over your arms and legs from where needles had been injected. You hated this place and every human in it.

You were alone in your room bound to the metal table. You didn't know how long you had been here, they wouldn't tell you. It felt like days. Hopefully Sans was alright, you didn't want any of those humans hurting him.

You looked down in despair at the gloves that were over your hands. You had tried to summon weapons but it wouldn't work. The gloves also proved impossible to get off. You also hated these gloves.

Milo had left the room about ten minutes ago, telling you that they were preparing yet another test. You looked around the room in dismay, wondering if you would ever get out of here. Your spirits felt crushed, so crushed that you did whatever they told you to do without protest.

Maybe you could escape during a test. There had been a few when you weren't bound, but you had been too weak to do anything but stand. Even right now you were weak. You threw away the thought of escaping during a test.

The door to your room opened and you looked over to see Milo and two other humans walk in. They pulled in the familiar wheelchair that they used to move you around in. Milo smiled at you coldly as the two men undid your bindings.

"This next test will give us some insight on what a human soul is. We'll need to extract it for further inspection and run a few tests on it." They were going to take away your soul? Huh. The thought almost made you laugh. The men started to bind you to the wheelchair then push you out the door.

You were pushed down the hall and was surprised to see that you weren't going to the gym-like room where all your other tests were. You were being pushed farther down the hall so that you would pass Sans' room.

You smiled for the first time in awhile as you neared his room. You craned your neck and looked through the window as you passed it. You saw Sans lying down on a metal table identical to the one in your room. You passed his room and went all the way down the hall before you stopped and Milo opened a door.

You looked around at the room you were pushed into and saw that it was another gym-like room. The only thing different about it was that there was only one thing in the room. You paled when you see the giant needle suspended above a metal table.

The men pushed you over to the table and started to undo your bindings. Milo walked over to a computer and started up the machine. The machine came to life as you were lifted to the table and being strapped down. You struggled, trying to prevent being bound and having that needle come close to you.

The men forced your arms down and overpowered you in your weak state. They quickly bound you to the table and backed up as the needle buzzed to life. Milo pressed a button then turned towards you, smiling coldly.

You watched in terror as the giant needle moved towards your chest. You struggled in the bindings, desperate to be free. Your heart started to pound as your body reached to dangerous levels of heat. Your eyes blazed and Milo stared in fascination at you.

As the needle got closer your heart pounded faster. Heat started to fill the room as your body felt as if it were on fire. Milo grabbed a clipboard and started to write down what was happening. Your breathing came in gasps as the needle touched down to your chest. That's when all hell broke loose.

You screamed louder than you had ever screamed before as all the heat was released from your body. A shockwave followed and sent the needle flying across the room. The shockwave shook the entire facility and threw all the humans in the room at the wall. The clasps that held you down broke free as you felt your strength rapidly returning. You shook off your gloves easily and bolted out of the room, leaving all the humans slumped against the wall, dazed.
