Larten groaned as he hit the floor. Well thats what he gets for trying to get up, lazy like.
Welp that hurt. He stood and looked around. What time is it? He began to walk forward, just to face plant back onto the bed. Darren came in.
"Dude, your still asleep?!" He asked. All he heard was a muffled sound. "Huh?"
Larten raised his head. "No, but i wish i was."
"Come get your coffee while its still hot." Darren left before the vampire could say anything. He once again rised and began to walk, this time able to leave the room.
"What happened to you?" Erva asked playfully, he heard the noises inside the room.
"Im not an evening person." Larten replyed, while walking to the table. "But, it is time for me and Darren to get a move on." He grabed the coffee mug and took a drink.
"Huh? Will i get to come along?" Erva really wanted to tag along.
"Sorry Erva, but only vampires can take the trek to vampire mountain." Another sip of coffee. "So, i might drop you off at the cirque. Is that ok?" The snake boy nodded.
"Yea its fine. Im, going to go to bed. Im tired." He walked to one of the bed rooms.
"Good night Erva!" Darren said.
"Night!" He responded, as he closed the bedroom door.
"As for you, Larten, good morning sleepy head. So what kept you up this morning?"
"Ohh, just the fireworks. They were loud, it gave me a headache."
"Oh, im sorry about that. Its just the way we celerbrate freedom." Larten nodded signaling that he understands.
"Well, Darren. You might want to get some rest for tomorrow. Its a long walk."
"Easy!! I love hiking!!" Darren smiled wide, and the vampire laughed.
"Not easy, and your gonna hate it." Another sip of coffee. "Trust me. Now get some rest. Your gonna regret it if you dont." Darren did as told an went to lay down.
~next evening~
Darren once again went to wake up Larten. The sun was just starting to set.
"Larten.." he gently shook him." Larten..." a shake. "Larten." He rolled to vampire over and back.
"Im up.... im upp.... wheres the snooze button?" Larten began to poke Darren.
"Time to get out of bed.."
"Nope... its not" Larten felt his pillow being jerked out from under him, and was hit in the back of the head with it.
"Get your lazy butt up. The sun is setting and today is the trek to vampire mountain." Larten sat up.
"Oh, i want to sleep." He layed back down. Darren growled before attempting to pull Larten out of the bed.
