Daniel's pov
This is all my fault. If it weren't for Mel it would be me looking like shit not her. I have to make it up to her some how. Wait! I heard that BVB was coming to town for a show this Saturday. I was already planing on asking her to go with me, but now I can make it special. Like a big thank you gift. I can even take her out to dinner before.
Maybe even tell her my feelings...
Mel's pov
The next morning I woke up with a pounding headache. I rolled over and saw the clock said 11:30am, Friday. No point in going to school. Hopefully Daniel will be ok with out me.
I roll out of bed and head for the shower. Popping a couple pills at the same time to help the headache. Stepping into the bathroom that's connected to my room I plug in my phone to play some music over the stereo. Just then I receive a text from Danny.
'Where are you :/?'
'Sry woke up late. Wasn't feeling good'
'K. How bad are you? thinking bout cutting class'
'Well enough. Wanna meet?'
'Cafe?'
'K. 30min'
'K'
Danny's pov
Cutting class would be easy this time. Everyone was at lunch and it's not like my last three classes mattered anyway. The cafe in town was our usual place to meet. Well, every high school kid or aspiring artist went there.
I grab my bag while checking my pocket for the envelope with the tickets. I leave school the back way so no teacher will see me.
~~time skip cafe~~
I walk into the cafe only to see Allen behind the counter as usual.
"She's in the back." he says smiling at me. I smiled back and walked the little ways so I was behind the wall that seperate the area.
Melanie sat in our usual two-person booth typing away at her laptop with her head phones in. She stops typing for a second and frown deleting what ever she had just done. I walk over sliding into the booth as she closes her computer.
"Editing another song?" I ask taking a sip of the extra drink that was in front of her that was obviously mine.
"Yeah. Just a remix but I can't get the tempo right."
"Well I know this will make you mood better." I slide the envelope to her.
"OH MY GOD!!!! I can't believe you got some!" She squealed. Here goes nothing.
"I knew you'd be happy. Oh and one question. Would you go on a date with me to this concert?" I ask. Probably blushing quite noticeably.
She looks at me in surprise.
"Yes!" she gets out of her seat and hugs me. I'm so realieved I hug her as tight as I can.
"Great! but I'm taking you out to dinner and everythig." I smile.
"You don't have to do all that. Don't waste your money on me. You already bought the tickets. I couldn't ask for more." She said quickly. Her blush showing more as she got embarrassed.
"To bad I want to. I'll pick you up at five tomorrow and we'll go to an early dinner and then we'll head to the concert."
"Fine but what do I wear?"
"Whatever you're wearing to the concert."
