Jason the vegetarian

Jason was going to miss eating meat, but Piper was worth it.

He made a deal with her that he would try to be a vegetarian for a week to see how it goes and if he doesn't mind it, he would be a vegetarian forever. He was determined to suceed for Piper.

The whole deal started when Piper brought up that someday, she would try to get Jason to be vegetarian for at least three days. She had said it's not that bad, but Jason was unsure. He was willing to try it for his girlfriend though.

Today is possibly his last day eating meat so he is going to make the most of it. For breakfast, lunch and dinner he wanted to eating nothing but meat and as much of it as he could.

"Geez man, you are eating that bacon faster than I can fry it up!" Leo exclaims as he scrambles about. He crazily stirrs the contents of the four frying pans in front of him that are full of bacon.

Jason says something that nobody could understand because his mouth was full. Leo looks at him clearly amused. He puts another serving of food on Jason's plate which he dives right into.

"You sure you can do this dude?" Leo says looking up at him, "You seem pretty fond of eating meat."

"I wan oo do it fo Pifer!" Jason says; his mouth full once again.

"What?" Jason swallows what's in his mouth.

"I want to do it for Piper," he says.

"Not going to eat meat? Being overly "lovey"? Who are you and what have you done with my best friend?" Jason laughs.

"I kidnapped him." Jason says sarcasticly. Leo smiles evilly at this.

"I thought so."

 "Hey Pipes"

Piper looks up and smiles at Jason as he comes down and sits next to her. His hair is all messed up and he's wearing baggy t-shirts and pajama pants, but he still looks as handsome as ever to her.

"Hey," she says, "What are you doing up this late?"

"I could ask you the same thing," he says as he yawns and catches a glimspe of his watch, "It's almost midnight." Piper nods and yawns.

"So," Piper says as she smiles at him, "Only four more minutes until there's no more meat!"

"Yep!" Jason says popping the "p" at the end. Jason squints his eyes to focus in on the clock on the other side of the room. Each time the clock ticked, he felt more and more regret about this deal. 'How am I going to last a day?' Jason thinks as he puts his head on the table. He feels Piper's gentle touch as she combs her fingers through his knotty hair.

"I think that it's really romantic that you are doing this all for me Jason." She smiles and gives him a small peck on the cheek. "You're the best."

Jason smiles back at her.

"You are too Pipes." Piper looks at the clock again and grins with excitement.

"Only forty more seconds!" she squeals and pats his shoulder. He looks at the clock with her.

"Thirty now," he says monotonically. Piper doesn't seem to notice his unenthusiastic voice and keeps bouncing up and down on her seat like a little kid. She's clearly more excited about this than Jason is.

"Ten!" she says talking in a sing-song voice. Jason looks at his girlfriend and sees how happy she is. Her smile lights up the room and her eyes gleam with joy. Jason would do anything to make that stay.

"Five, four, three, two and-"

"One!" Jason cuts her off and puts on a fake smile. Piper seems to notice this and places a hand on his shoulder.

"You can do this Jason. Remember, you if you can't stand it, you can meat. I just appreciate that you are trying," she says as she smiles kindly at him, "And I know you can do this Jason. You have gone though MUCH worse things than not being able to eat meat," she added.

"Thanks Pipes," he says smiling, "I can do this, can't I?"

"Yes you can do this."

"I can do this"

"I can't do this!" Jason screams as he frantically grasps on to McDonald's door. Piper tugs on his waist trying to get him to let go.

"Jason!" she screams back, "They aren't even open yet!" Jason completely ignores this comment and keeps struggling.

"I need a burger!"

"You can ask Leo for one!" Piper suggests hoping that her boyfriend will go for that option instead of trying to break into McDonalds in his pajamas.

"This is worse than ANYTHING I had to endure," Jason screams wildly. 'And Jason has gone completely nuts' Piper thinks as she rolls her eyes. She continues to try to pry Jason off the door.

"Well, that didn't last longer than five minutes."

I hope you enjoyed that one! I just wanted to say that my friend and I always joke around that they would eventually get me to become a vegetarian and I told them that I would act just as Jason did in this one shot and that's what inspired me this time! Also, just ignore the whole "McDonalds is closed" thing....I know some places, they are open 24/7, but for this story, let's just pretend they aren't.
