Chapter Fourteen: One Must Forgive If They Want To Forget
Lottie's Point of View
It was early morning, 6.20 to be exact, and I had took to smearing tomato sauce and mayonnaise over plates so they needed washing up, and I could do exactly that. The kitchen was empty, as well as the dining room, with everyone having relocated to the living room. And that was great. Because that meant I was alone. And that is how I like it now. Sure, I'd being asleep, Until about six. Then I couldn't anymore. So here I am. The door creaked and my heart broke, "L-Lottie?"
"Go away." I sighed, turning towards the sink and placing the seven plates I'd just messed up into the bowl,
"I just ... wanted to say again that ... I'm sorry."
"You're not sorry." I scoffed, turning on my heels to face Fred. I had gone to bed a tad bit more neutral than when Fred first snapped at me, but when I woke up I was feeling extremely sour towards him. I leant up against the cabinet and he was standing in the middle of room,
"Lottie, no you--"
"If you was sorry, you wouldn't of said it." I told him, slowly making my way over to him, "You are a horrible, horrible person! You thought that it was only you who was in pain, it was only you who was hurting. You have six other siblings, and you all share a father. They were all hurt too."
"I understand that! Just listen to me for once!"
"Oh! Me listen to you! Why should I listen to anything that comes out of your mouth?!"
"I didn't mean that! None of it! I though you of all people would have realise that I--"
"Oh no! No, you are not the victim here!"
"No! You are!" Fred yelled over me. I stared at him darkly. I was breathing rapidly, and I could feel hot bursts of Fred's breath hitting my face,
"You are a cruel person, Fredrick Weasley." I said quietly, "You are a very cruel person. You tore my heart in two last night. And I will never ... ever ... forgive you for doing that." Fred continued to stare at me, our eye connect never being broken. My head will filling with so many thoughts and emotions I was struggling to think straight and stand steady. Fred's eyes were almost weeping,
"Lottie, I'm--"
"NO!" I screamed, drawing my hand back and swiping it across his face in a heartbeat. I stood with my hands out at either side, breathing loudly and through a crack in my mouth. Fred had cowered a little, holding his hand to his face. I hope it hurts, Fred. Really ... really ... hurts,
"Lot?!" George's voice filled the emptiness of the room. I didn't even know he was awake. I took a step back and leant against the counter, then burst into tears and slowly slipped down to the floor,
"I--"
"Fred, go!" George told him,
"It--"
"Fred! Seriously man!" George knelt beside me. Fred looked at me before leaving the room in a hurry,
"I didn't mean to it was an accident thats a lie but I didn't mean to hurt him not really I I I mean I--"
"Shh." George rubbed his thumbs under my eyes and I stared up at him, trying to recover from how fast I had my excuses rolling out, "It's okay. We can work this out. It's going to be fine."
