Chapter Twenty Five: Drop Da Bomb

Lottie's Point of View

They were wearing dark green camouflage gear, top to toe, and had two black lines across both of their cheeks. Where it all came from, along with the matching military boots, was going to remain a mystery, "Ah, hina--"

"Woah, parseltongue." Fred held out his hand over my mouth. I shook my head and he moved his hand away,

"Why? Just ... just why? Why are you here?"

"I certainly thought she'd be happier than that." George nodded, digging in his pocket then reluctantly handing a smug looking Fred three galleons. I knocked the coins from their hand during transaction,

"Answer the question!" I flicked my wand light from one twin's face to the next. George scratched his neck a little then smiled at me,

"It's fine, Lottie. Everything is completely under control. We just came back for a little because I remembered that we'd trapped a house elf in a passage a few days back, so we came back to let her out."

"Yeah, it's no big deal." Fred said, standing back up straight after retrieving his galleons from the floor. Every word rolled off their tongues too perfectly,

"A few days?"

"Yeah, well, maybe a week."

"A week?!"

"It's no big deal!" George defended Fred, "She's okay! We let her out about five minutes ago! We was going to walk her back to the kitchens but we heard Umbridge clonking about so we sent erm ... whatever her name was--"

"Olive."

"Olive, yeah. We sent her back to the kitchens then nipped in here quick." George looked confused by his and Fred's story. I couldn't help but believe them,

"Did you plan for this?"

"No, no planning." George held up his hands, then elbowed Fred to do the same,

"It just seems pretty convenient you guys wound up back at Hogwarts, in a broom cupboard no less, and I happen to stumble upon you."

"Well, erm ... sometimes life just is convenient." George shrugged slowly,

"It's never convenient! It's life!" I pointed the ball of light in George's face. George looked a little scared. I also noticed Fred's eyebrows raise slowly, "Now, you are going to go home, or wherever it is you came from, and I'm not going to see you again until 13th June, understood?" I poked George's chest and he nodded. Fred sniggered quietly,

"Georgie got--"

"And you." I rolled my eyes over and the ball of light was in Fred's face. His reoccurring smug look turned to his reoccurring worried look, "You are going to go back, find a writing surface, and you're going to write us a decent letter that's accessibly and readable, yes?"

"Yes, Lottie." Fred nodded vigorously. I nodded promptly to them both, then pointed my wand towards the door. Fred opened it slowly as George kissed my nose. I hardly broke my serious face. George followed Fred from the cupboard and I watched them through the crack until they was out of sight and again leaving Hogwarts. It then dawned on me I'd told them to leave. Again.

What an idiot.

"Maaaadam Pomfrey!" I called as I entered the hospital wing. My voice echoed around the entrance hall. I walked carefully up to the desk in the hall and peered over it. No one was there, so I turned and shouted again, "Madam Pomfrey!"
