From what the brothers had told her, after she woke up, that the victim Troy had a girlfriend named Amy, one of the daughter of the deputy that was working on the case. They also said that Troy had completely disappeared only leaving his blood splattered on the car.

The Deputies had suggested that maybe it was a serial killer but the brothers knew well it wasn't just a normal murder.

When Eleanor woke up, her head was completely fine, not even a slightest pain. Her headache was gone, at least for the time being.

Dean parked the Impala along the road. A young woman was tacking up posters with Troy's face with a caption 'MISSING Troy Squire'. Dean, Eleanor and Sam approached her.

"I'll bet you that's her." Dean stated.

"Yeah." Sam agreed.

"Really, Einstein? I did not know that." Eleanor replied sarcastically. "I wonder how'd you guess that. Oh, I don't know. Maybe because she's tacking up a bunch of posters with Troy's name and face sticking on it."

Dean rolled his eyes, times like this, when she was being the sarcastic and annoying little shit, he knew she was trying to push something out off her mind and he was going to find out what. The trio walked up to the young woman.

Before they reach her, Eleanor whispered harshly to Dean. "Don't tell her I'm your girlfriend, capiché? Use others, I won't be your 'girlfriend' anymore."

"All right." He whispered back. Sam snickered at their byplay, he truly missed it.

"You must be Amy." Dean began.

Amy merely stared at them, getting back on doing her previous activity. "Yeah."

"Yeah, Troy told us about you. We're his uncles. I'm Dean, this is Sammy." He pointed at Sam then put his arm around Els' waist. "And this is my fiancé, Eleanor."

Dean smirked mischievously to Eleanor who was having a struggle to put on a straight face and to stop herself from smacking his head. Fiancé? That was worst than 'girlfriend'. He then showed her the ring he bought for her and him, a friendship ring, keyword; friendship. Els had no other choice but to force a smile out and showed the girl her ring.

"Hiya." She greeted with a fake smile.

He's going to pay for this. Eleanor mentally noted to herself. Sam hid his grin by turning his head so the 'couple' wouldn't see him.

"He never mentioned you to me." Amy remarked, starting to walk away. Dean, Sam and Eleanor walked with her. By now Dean had removed his arm from her waist.

"Well, that's Troy, I guess." He smirked. "We're not around much, we're up in Modesto."

"So, we're looking for him too, and we're kinda asking around." Sam continued. Dean took a hold of Eleanor's hand so it would seem more convincing that he and her were engaged. Eleanor moved her hand away from him but realized that Amy was watching and she had no choice but hold his hand back.

Amy narrowed her eyes at this, fortunately for them, a young woman came up to Amy―presumably her friend, distracting her from Dean and Eleanor.

The girl put a hand on her arm while asking. "Hey, are you okay?"

"Yeah." Amy answered casually, ignoring the fact that Dean and Eleanor almost gave all the act out.

"You mind if we ask you a couple questions?" Sam asked both of them.

Amy and her friend, Rachel, then lead the trio to a diner not far away from where they were talking earlier. The five of them were sitting in a booth, Dean and Sam opposite Amy and Rachel, Eleanor on Dean's lap so it would convinced Amy since it was her―Eleanor's―fault they almost got busted. She wanted to object but couldn't because of big headed Dean wanted to play the fiancé card.
