Maito's POV

"I'm up!" I exclaimed in the morning, as my mom had already left for work. Since that happened, dad let me eat ice cream for breakfast. Mom would always nag him if he tried to feed me ice cream for breakfast while she was here, since it's supposed to be an unhealthy snack, apparently.

I ate my food and walked upstairs to get ready for the day and going back downstairs with my backpack and lunch, since of course, I couldn't survive without these things! I said by to my dad as I was able to go on the school's bus since I was tired from basketball practice yesterday. (Don't dare ask).

Oh...I forgot my sister and Ren. Yeah, that's what I forgot...

"Too late to go back now," I said as this huge guy sat next to me. Not fat huge, but, bulky huge. And he looked like one of the jocks. I mean, I am one but I'm always sitting on the bench during games. Well, his name was Makoto, and he plays American football.

"Hey, how's Maito doing," he said and crossed his arms, grinning.

"Great!" I exclaimed with a smile.

"We're friends, right?" He asked as I nodded.

"Yep!" I exclaimed as he snatched my lunch forcefully.

"Can I have some of your lunch? I didn't bring mine," Makoto admitted as I shrugged.

"Sure. Do you want lunch money, too?" I asked as Makoto laughed loudly.

"Thanks bud. Sure!" Makoto exclaimed as I handed him my wallet as he took out some of my yen...

...well, all I have...

"Thanks, really appreciate it," he said as the bus made it to school as almost all of my things were taken from my lunch, including things from my wallet as I sighed.

"Anything for a friend," I said and got off, almost tripping as almost everyone on the bus was about to laugh at me. I laughed along with them as I got on, waiting patiently as I saw aNaitu and Ren appear in front of me, sweating and panting.

"You...left us...," Ren said as aNaitu.

I nervously chuckled and scratched the back of my neck. "Sorry, sorry. You know me, a baka of all," I said as aNaitu rose one eyebrow.

"Nii-chan. Usually your lunch rattles inside whenever you move. How come, it looks, like nothing is in there?" aNaitu asked as I shrugged.

"I ate it all on the bus!" I exclaimed as a cover up as Ren rolled her eyes.

"You're not going to last very long, Baka. Come on, school's starting," Ren said as I nodded as the bell rung and I walked into the classroom in my normal seat, with the seat next to me empty since Lin was in the higher math with Akio. Now who's going to deal with an idiot like me during math?

"Hello. What's your name? Are you the new student?" I heard the teacher asked as a girl with unevenly cut pink hair and green eyes stood in front of the class, nodding.

She wasn't Tsundere, Yandere, kind of Dandere. Ah, Kuudere!

"I'm Amaya," she said.

"Tell us more about yourself, Amaya Yamaha," the teacher said as Amaya shook her head.

"I'm good. If you want to know more about me, try not to," Amaya said as she sat in the seat next to me.

"Hm~ can I call you Ama-chan?" I asked her as she shook her head, staring down at her desk with her hands on her lap.

"We just met. It would be very informal," she said and took out a notebook she had and her textbook once the assignments were written on the bored.

"Well...are you smart?" I asked as Amaya shrugged, that kind of acted like a cold shoulder.

"Average," she said. "This is advance classes, after all."

"Hm~ well I'm below average! So I could use some help!" I exclaimed.

"Tch. Your older than that me, that's pathetic. I'll help you anyways," she said, taking out a carrot eraser and a carrot pencil.

"Wow! I got farther than I ever had with Lin helping me! We would always argue and..," when I turned back to see her, she was already gone. "Hm? Ama-Chan?"

I went outside of the class as I saw that Amaya was cornered by Makoto and some other guys.

"Your a small fry? New girl? What's with the modest expression?" One asked.

"I should care less. I would rather be a small fry than the big and bulky guy you are, looking like steroids gone wrong," Amaya fired back cooly.

"Why you little-"

"Wait!" I exclaimed, standing in front of her, getting knocked down by the punch onto the floor, my head raving in pain from the impact.

"Maito. Hm, I thought we were friends," Makoto said, dropping the banana peel from my lunch that he got and dropped it on my face as they left.

"Are you okay? Shion-San?" Amaya asked, removing the banana peel on my face as I chuckled. "You have a big purple bruise on your cheek, by the way."

"Eh?!" I exclaimed as she showed my face on her phone. My eyes widened as I noticed that the direction she was standing in front of me I could see a clear shot of her white carrot panties.

"U-Um, it's fine. I can walk around with a bruise the whole day," I said, standing up as the place flooded with students.

"Shion-San, what was the nickname you called me?" Amaya asked as I laughed.

"Ama-Chan. Or, I could call you Bunny!" I exclaimed as she shook her head.

"Ama-Chan it is, Shion-San," Amaya said as I smiled, nodding in agreement.

"Ama-Chan it is! Do you want to sit with us during lunch?" I asked as she nodded.

"Okay, Shion-San," she said as we walked through the hallways and into the cafeteria.

"You can call me Maito! Or Mai-Kun!" I exclaimed as Amaya shook her head.

"It's very off for me," Amaya said as I shrugged.

"Suit yourself," I said as Amaya nodded, taking out a bunch of baby carrots.

"You could share my lunch. My mom packed a lot of carrots. Besides, I believe one of them stole your lunch," Amaya said as I blushed, nodding.

"Okay. Thanks for being so nice Ama-Chan!" I exclaimed, taking a baby carrot and munching on it.

I could see a red string stick out from one of the book. Though, only I could see it as it was attached to me.

"My red string of fate is attached to you," I thought and stared at her for a while.

"Shion-San, you're looking at me oddly," Amaya said as I shook my head, snapping myself out of my thoughts.

"Sorry, you just look, beautiful!" I exclaimed as Amaya shook her head.

"As a friend, I would say the same, but it would seem awkward for me," Amaya said as I laughed.

"S-So we're friends now! I understand," I said as Amaya slightly smiled as she ate her carrots as I ate some, too. Our hands touching a few times. It just seemed appropriate, not to mention it.

After all, she was the one destined to be with me...
