Maito's POV

"The posters keep on disappearing, even with us. We're going to have to ask people we know on the phone," my mom said as I sighed in sadness, with all my posters I thought I pasted on boards were soon gone just like that. There had to be something wrong, with all of this.

"So, should we call them?" I asked as my mom nodded as I took out my phone, calling Lin and Ren first, who came to the house as soon as I called them. Next, Akio answered my call almost immediately. Though he wasn't talking much, I could hear his shaky breath.

"Kyo-Pyo what's wrong?" I asked as Akio continued to shake, as I could hear through the phone. He was there, for sure.

"D-Don't call me that...this is serious...," Akio said as I shook my head.

"I will never stop calling you that. What happened? Is Ama-Chan okay?" I asked on the phone as Akio turned silent again. "Is Ama-Chan okay?" I asked on the phone sounding scary.

"She...isn't..," Akio said as my eyes widened in shock and I started to worry.

"What happened?!" I asked as Ren and Lin heard what Akio said due to me putting the volume on my phone really loud. I bit my thumb in nervousness as Akio was not answering.

"Answer me! God, we're her friends, too!" I yelled into the phone as Lin put a hand on my shoulder.

"Maito, calm down," Lin said as I shrugged her hand off and clenched my fist.

"She's in jail. They've spent ten years looking for the culprit that killed someone with a katana," Akio said as my eyes were wide in shock. I stood there, felling like Akio was earlier. Not saying a word, only with my breath shaky.

"I'm bailing her out," I said.

"Baka! You can't do that!" Ren exclaimed as I whirled around, smacking him on the face angrily.

"It's because of something you did, isn't it Ren?! You pissed off aNaitu and now she's run off! And now Amaya's in jail!" I yelled at him as Lin's eyes were wide in shock.

"You always, call us by the nicknames you gave us..," Lin said in shock as I wanted to yell at her.

"Riiiight, right yes because you are little miss perfect with perfect grades and has Akio as a 'perfect' boyfriend to you!" I exclaimed as mom pulled on my trench coat jacket, putting my hands and arms behind my back.

"Ren, Lin, you two should go home," mom said as the two didn't even think before running.

"Maito! Calm down!" My mom exclaimed as I tried to wriggle out of her grip.

"Mei-Chan, what's going on?" My dad asked.

"You tell me," mom said as dad sighed, handing her a hollow wine bottle as I felt a sharp pain on my head as everything was black and I felt my body fall onto the pavement.

***

I woke up with that same sharp pain, seeing that I was in my room, with my head resting on my pillow safely. I saw that my dad was sitting in the chair that I usually sit on when I'm actually doing my homework homework for once.

"Was it...a dream?" I asked dad as he sighed, facing down.

"Depends what you think was a dream," dad told me as I held my hand to my head, feeling the sharp pain again.

"Nai-Nai was kidnapped...and Ama-Chan went to jail..," I said sadly, frowning at the dream.

"I'm sorry, Maito," my dad said as I looked at him with a sad look in my eyes.

"That I had that dream?" I asked as my dad sighed, shaking his head.

"1. That was not a dream, Maito. Your sister is missing and Amaya is in jail. 2. I'm sorry, for my genes, and why you are kind of dumb," my dad said as I frowned, staring at my lap as I sat upright and sniffed a little, with tears welling up in my eyes.

"Do you, want to talk about it?" Dad asked me as I shook my head, and saw a tear drop land on the blue bedsheets.

"I need...to be alone..," I said as my dad nodded, standing from the chair and exiting my room as I sat in my dark room with the dim moonlight coming from the window as I heard the door creak shut.

I sighed, knowing that it actually happened, and I meant my word. I opened the window, jumping out of my room since it was a one story house, with a wallet in my hand.

I closed the door and ran. I ran and ran until I was able to hail a taxi with the remaining money I had. "What's the nearest juvy?" I asked the taxi driver as he shrugged.

"Close by the police station. Which is a 52 dollar drive," the taxi driver said as I reached in my wallet, to see that I got the wrong one.

Dad left it on his chair...

I shrugged the guilt feeling off and pulled out two one dollar bills and a fifty. "Just drive me there," I blurted out as he nodded, in some sort of fear from he as he started to drive. I trembled in fear from my dad realizing that he did not know where his wallet was, and then I would be in trouble. I quivered in fear of the thought of my mom getting angry...

After a while, I got there as I saw faces the police, asking them if I could talk to Amaya. They agreed as I sat on one of the seats and Amaya was wearing her prison clothing and spoke through the glass. She, did kind of look like an odd carrot with her hair having hints of green.

"Mai-Kun...," she said, her eyes in shook. I was shocked, too. After what had happened, and she called me by a nickname that I have a suggestion to. She pressed her small fingers against the glass. Her eyes screaming desperately.

"Wh-What happened?! Why are you here?!" I asked in shock as Amaya's tears spilled out of her eyes.

"I'm sorry..," Amaya said as I saw tears spill out of her eyes, and she looked down on the ground as her hand slipped on the glass, making one of those sounds.

I put my hand against the glass, looking at her with an expression of seriousness. She looked up at me in shook. Her eyes red and puffy as tears ran down her cheeks.

"It's not your fault. I'll visit everyday, Ama-Chan. When's your court?" I asked as Amaya shook her head, wiping her tears.

"Tomorrow...there isn't anything you can do about it, Mai-Kun... I'll grow insane..," Amaya said as I shook my head rapidly.

"I'm going. I don't care what it's going to take. You're getting it somehow," I said as Amaya shrugged, shaking her head slowly and took her hand away from the glass.

"You're only a high schooler, Mai-Kun," Amaya said as I nodded.

"I'm a high schooler, but so are you," I said as the police told me that visiting hours were over as I nodded, returning to the taxi, who I paid back. My foot tapping on the floor, staring out the window.

"She didn't do anything...right..?"
