Chapter Six - He's done nothing

It's been three weeks and Mr Gomez hasn't heard anything about Lucy.  Why isn’t he searching for her.  After all Lucy is his daughter.  It’s like he doesn’t even care.  Well that sounds like him.  He doesn’t even care about my safety anymore.  I have completely zoned out on doing school work.  I couldn’t care less anymore, I've been trying to figure out who kidnapped Lucy.  I'm even considering going to see Alastor Fry.

All I care about right this minute is finding Lucy, ALIVE!  I don’t want Lucy to be dead, so I’m hoping that she is alive, I'm even praying every night.  Lucy needs to be alive.  Great…. Now I’m over thinking things.  I think I should just go for a walk.  I’ll ask Arthur if he wants to come with me.  I think he’ll say yes.  Considering he sees me as his brother now, we do pretty much everything together. No one can ever part us, we've grown close to each other.  We support each other.  I've also gotten the hang of video games now.

I find Arthur sitting in the lounge watching a movie.  I think he is watching Chicken Little.  I didn’t know he watched movies that were for little kids.

“Hey Arthur you want to go for a walk?”  I ask.

Arthur looks up at me.

“The movie is almost finished.  Do you want to watch the rest with me?”  Arthur asks.

“Yeah, sure.  I would love to watch the end with you, and then we’ll go for a walk?”  I ask.

“Sure thing, little dude!”  Arthur says with a chuckle.

Arthur knows that I hate being called little dude.  But because of the movie we’re watching I can’t help but think maybe Arthur is the little dude.  Chicken Little isn’t a bad movie.  Then ending is pretty funny.  Because well, I thought that Chicken Little had actually grown up and turned into some heroic movie star.  Guess I let the movie get to my head.

Arthur turns the television off.

“You ready to go little dude?”  Arthur asks me.

“Where do you want to go?”  I ask, hoping that Arthur has a place in mind.

“Do you want to go to the park?”  He asks me, wondering if that place is ok.

“Yeah… We could go to the playground...”  I say sarcastically.

"I think I'll pass on that one little dude."  Arthur replies

"I'll get a soccer ball."  I say running off up to my room and grab an orange and blue soccer ball.  It's my favourite soccer ball.

Arthur and I take the long way to the playground so we would have more time away from Mr Gomez.  Both Arthur and I hate Mr Gomez.  He freaks us both out and he is getting scarier and scarier looking every time we see him.  It’s just weird!  Arthur and I are planning on running away soon.  No one is looking for Lucy and I think with Arhtur technological brain and my knowledge, we could find her all by ourselves.  We could also uncover the secret.

Arthur and I talk about Mr Gomez when we get out of the house/huge mansion.  That place is huge.  Arthur wants to find out what Mr Gomez is hiding.  I wish I knew as well.  But I don’t know how to find out things.  I’m supposed to be smart.  But I truly am not… Or Mr Gomez is just covering up his tracks really well.

“Arthur…. Do you think Mr Gomez has even bothered looking for his daughter?”  I ask.

“I don’t think so, he seems far too relaxed.  It’s as though he knows that she is perfectly fine and there is no need to worry about her.”  Arthur tells me.
