Where do I even begin? Sadness is always there, always lurking. He surrounds us. Even when we don't notice he's there he's waiting. He's waiting for us to remember anything that will bring him back. At first, he enjoys it. He parks his car, he gets comfortable, and watches us. But after a while, he gets bored. He gets bored of just watching all the time, but he's stuck there. Sometimes when he first parks his car he realizes that the person he's trying to prey on is too strong. So he leaves. He goes to try to find someone else to prey on. When he does find the weakest person he can, though, he goes all in. This one here isn't afraid of commitment. No, he loves it. His adores the fact that he can find someone so weak and be with them forever; it's his oxygen.
He's perfect at finding his prey. He makes a few mistakes here and there, but that's what makes him great. Even if you're the strongest person, he tries to hold your hand. He tries to get close to you. When you lose someone, when you miss someone, even when you fail a class. His face is familiar to everyone. If he's there for long enough, his best friend Depression tags along. Not as a third wheel though. He tags along to your life and he lets sadness go. I'll tell you about him later, though. Just watch out for Sadness. He's there. As I've said before, don't take Happiness for granted. She's the one that protects you from him. He doesn't want you to be protected. It's as if all he wants if for you to be out there, vulnerable, nowhere to go... Just looking for someone to hold you. It'll try to be him. He'll always try to make it about himself. Don't let him. Please, don't let him. You don't want to meet his best friend. Trust me.
