Chapter 2

Briar's POV

After talking to Myles during the class, i got to know him a bit better. He's planning to dance at CDC which is a good thing since i could help him settle in and stuff. He really funny and sweet. We soon found out that we nearly had the same classes expect for second and last period. I really enjoy having him around, hes not annoying like some other boys. He kind of reminds me of Jake. Its nice to talk to someone who has things in common with you. You can just kind of connect with them and relate.

When lunch comes, i invite Myles over to sit with my friends and some other people while i introduce him to everyone. Jake doesn't seem too happy about it but i give him a reassuring smile. Theres an awkward silence so i try to break the ice.

"So..anyone have any plans for this weekend?" 

"Yea. I was hoping you could come to the next match" says Jake

"Sure. When?"

"This Saturday." 

"Uh...sorry i cant make it" 

"But you always make it to my games.." He said with the look of dissapointment in his eyes 

I can feel tension arising at the table and everyone turns to look at us. Oh god, i was i going to handle this one.

"Look im sorry but this Saturday..its really important" i say, emphasising the word "really" 

"Its fine" Says Jake. Thank god, he dropped the subject. But i really meant it when i said this Saturday was important. It was more than important. It was the day my sister died...

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been really busy. I will try to update a bit more this week to make up for it. I will definitely update at least one or two times this week. Which books would you guys like an update on?
