Beneath The Surface •A Modern AOT Fanfic•

Intro

Hey, I just wanted to start a new attack on Titan fanfic so here it is, and yes, some of the main characters will be ocs in this. I will include their bios explaining their back stories and personalities you get it.

Attack on Titan and none of its characters belong to me, only the story, story plot and the OC Lillie Steehl belong to me. Please tell me if anyone is stealing my or my friends OC and my story, thank you :)

Name- Lillie (Lie-leh) Steehl
Age- 17

P.o.b- Germany, near the coast

Species- Siren

Likes- stargazing, swimming, playing with powers, being with Mae playing piano and drawing/painting

Dislikes- Hot weather (as it dries her out) mermaid hunters, dresses and crowded places

Fears- loosing Mae or a friend, being exposed as a siren and thunderstorms

Personality- Lillie is a kind and forgiving young girl that is always willing to lend a hand. She is usually seen smiling or talking with her friends, and is a bit shy with strangers. She can become extremely paranoid in public and crowded places, especially when their are mermaid hunters and her younger sister is with her. She is very overprotective and even though she is cheerful, on the inside she is still hurting from her parents deaths.
She often blames herself and can be found in depressive moods when the subject is brought up. She had resorted to self harming once and whenever someone points it out, it always reminds her of her parents. She blames herself and beats herself up as she thinks she could of done something to save them instead of running away.

Appearance- Lillie has a oval shaped face with short brown almost shoulder length hair that frames her face when down. She has side bangs on her left side an her hair is almost always tied in a side ponytail. Her hair is a fairly darkish brown and she has a pointed nose with soft, yet slightly narrow caramel brown coloured eyes. Her lashes are long and across her face are freckles, as well as a forever lasting pink blush in her cheeks, making her look flustered. Her nails are long and her skin tanned slightly. Her lips are a coral pink and she seems to smell of fresh fruits. Her clothing preference is quite tomboyish, ranging from oversized hoodies and sweaters with leggings to checkered shirts or band shirts. She has a cute smiles and a deadly scowl.

Backstory- Lillie was born in Germany as a siren to mother Elra Steehl and father Auther Steehl. At the age of 10, her only sister was born and a few months after, her parents were caught for exposing their powers accidentally. After, the parents fled to their home and contacted lillies aunt Marliah who came to the home and began to help them pack. But, soon mermaid hunters were at their door and when they enterd, they killed Elra and Auther while Marliah escaped with the children.
They managed to sneak onto a plane, not knowing where it would take them, and it flew to New Orlans, America.

Marliah used the money that she got out of her bank to buy a house, furniture and food. She soon became a violinist and played in classical concerts to earn money. She was well known for her violin skills and when Lillie turned 16, she had to move away to continue her job. But she will monthly ship in Lillie money to help pay for bills and food.

Lillie grew independent and sends letters to her aunt every week explaining how their doing or if she needs any financial help. She is overprotective and was homeschooled with her sister by her aunt, so when Marliah moved away, Lillie didn't get education for a year, before managing to enrol her and her sister in a school.

She also managed to get a part time job in a coffee shop and she works Thursday's, Friday's and Saturdays.

She became best friends with Annie Lionhardt, Noah Liaght and Rose Liaght, and soon developed a crush on Noah.

She currently is training to be a pianist, and look after her sister whom she is very close with. Her sister Mae sees Lillie as a mother figure, as seen as she grew up without parents, and can sometimes accidently call Lillie mom. Lillie isn't botherd by it and finds it cute, and she is very over protective over Mae, she would go as far as to die for Mae, if it meant Mae could live herself.

Siren info-
Appearance- When in siren form Lillie is topless and her hair seems to have grown down past her breasts, and it is tied in bunches, and covers her breasts. Her tail is unlike mermaids, it is longer, thicker and has rigid and spiked fins. She also has sharp find on her lover arms. There are turquoise scales tracing up to her belly button, on her lower arm, her cheeks leading up to her eyes and on her breasts and shoulders.

Her tail is a lovely shade of turquoise and her eyes can turn red and she can have fangs and sharp nails grow when feeling threatend

Powers- Sirens have more powers than mermaids, and lillies powers are water manipulation, air manipulation and she can control ice. Also, any type of steel cannot hurt her or mermaids, the only thing that can hurt a siren and mermaid is silver. And Lillie can heal people and herself and other sirens/ mermaids with water.

Personality- Rose is a relatively shy and secluded person, but when with friends she can become confident and cheery. She enjoys her friends company and is very kind towards others. She is helpful and nerdy and she really enjoys spending time with armin arlert. She is most confident when with him, and she shares the same fascination for seeing the world. She is a bit of a day dreamer and excitable.

Appearance- Rose is a petit girl, short in height for her age. She has creamy skin and oval like crystal blue eyes. Her lips are a pinkish colour and her hair is a light blonde in a bob style, with a fringe that frames her face. She wears black rimmed glasses and has pearly white teeth. She has a very faint dust of red across her cheeks and nose. Her clothing preference consists of t shirts, sweaters with skirts, knee socks or tights, she also likes dresses and flat shoes. She also has a few pairs of trainers and will sometimes wear jeans. Her eyes are soft and smile adoring.

Backstory- When Rose was born her mother had died from the childbirth, so her father took care of her. Her father works in a a organization to capture/ kill mermaids and sirens (sirens more specifically as some eat humans) because they are a threat. She has never encountered a mermaid or siren (of her knowladge) and she dosent really agree with the whole killing mermaid thing. She shares a close relationship with her older brother Noah and her father is training him to be a mermaid hunter. Noah is protective and they have a close bond.
When Rose was 14 she moved to a new school and met two people by the names of Jonathan and leena. They were close but what she didn't know is that they were fake friends.

One night Jonathan began harassing her and he tries to force himself into her. Rose had fled the scene and athorities were contacted. Rose was mentally affected and afraid of boys for a year before meeting armin arlert. He was there for her and they grew very close quick. She developed a crush on him, but what she didn't know, is that he is a merman.
