Chapter 4
"Time for school."
I hear the door shut and Uncle Jack walk out as I roll over to turn on my music to help wake me up. As Omarion starts to play I sit up in my bed. As I slowly take my covers off of my body, I open my eyes and squint as my eyes start to adjust to the light.
I start to make my bed like every morning. Falling back onto it once I am done.
I slowly push myself up and walk to my closet. I quickly throw on my uniform and head to the bathroom to put my hair up. Finally, I put some mascara on and walk out of my bedroom door.
As I walk into the kitchen, Uncle Jack places a plate of eggs onto the counter smiling at me. I try to keep a strait face as I look at him but find it impossible as a smile spreads across my face.
"Ahh there we go."
I look at my uncle as a smirk takes over where his smile just was.
"You know it's for the best. I just want you to be safe." He said calmly as his expression turned soft.
"I know. It's just... I hate bodyguards. I like time to myself and I have never liked it when people stare at me and follow me around."
"I know. I contacted Noah last night and told him that you officially know."
"So what does that mean?"
"It means that he will now have his eyes on you at all times and you are not to argue with him since you now know about him."
I roll my eyes and pick up my fork. Uncle Jack goes back to what he must have been doing before. He sits down at his desk and starts to look at files.
I eat my food slowly just to make the time until I have to leave for school longer.
When I am finally done I get up and place my plate into the dishwasher.
"Hurry up or you will be late!"
I roll me eyes at my uncle as I walk up the stairs to brush my teeth. My eyes catch a glimpse of the clock on my bedside table and I realize that I have 20 minutes until school starts. I sprint to my bathroom and brush my teeth in most likely record time. Then, I jump down most of the stairs and run to my bike. I pull my bike out of the garage, jump on it, and pedal towards school.
I see the school and start to pedal faster. My breath speeds up as does my bike.
The second I see the bushes where my bike is usually kept, I jump off of my bike and shove it behind the bushes. I jump up half of the steps leading to the school and sprint up the rest.
I run down the hall until I am in front of my locker. I quickly pull my backpack off of my back and shove all books except the ones for Math in my locker as well as my backpack. I slam the locker shut as I hop up and sprint to the next building.
I am sprinting into the classroom right as the bell rings. I slide into my seat and suck in a deep breath now that I am finally here.
I look around the classroom looking for our teacher since I can't see him anywhere in the classroom. My eyes catch the baby blue eyes of Noah who is sitting right behind me staring at me. I turn back around in my seat hoping that he would just stay quiet and take his eyes off of me. But, he decides he wants to talk.
"Hey. You barely made it today."
I roll my eyes and keep staring ahead of me.
"Are you ok? Did anything happen?"
I turn around in my seat now giving him a questioning look. Why does he need to ask if I am ok? He seems to have read my thoughts since he starts to speak again.
