Artemis' POV
I opened my eyes as the radio was turned up. "Gah!" I yelled out. "That scared me!" I saw Dick in the front seat holding back laughter. "If I could right now, I'd hit you, Grayson," I said. "Uh-huh," Dick laughed. I growled then calmed myself down. "Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the err--seat," Zatanna smiled. "Talk about it," I rolled my eyes. "Hey, guys, um we're almost out of gas," I heard Wally say. "How full was the tank when we first left?" Conner asked. "A little under half-full," Wally replied. "You idiot!" I yelled. "Why didn't you fill up the gas tank!?" "I guess I wasn't thinking?" Wally said pulling over and scratching the back of his head. "Of course, you never think, Wally," Dick said, obviously not happy.
"I'm sorry, guys," Wally said nervously. "You're gonna be, West," I said, cracking my knuckles. "Woah, woah, woah, slow down Artemis," Megan said grabbing my hands. "Well, what do we do now?" Kaldur asked. "Yeah, what do we do on an empty highway, with very little fuel?" Raquel questioned. "I'll call a tow truck or something," Zatanna said taking out her phone. "There's no service," she said immediately after turning her phone on. "So what now?" Conner asked. "I have an idea," Wally said from the drivers side. "Yeah, another idiotic idea," I whispered. "I heard that," Wally said, getting out. "Hey, Conner, could you maybe help me out?" Wally stuck his head in the car. "I guess so ," Conner got out. "So, we don't have like, a thing of gas with us?" Raquel asked. "Raquel! You just reminded me!" Dick got out of the car as it started moving.

Wally's POV
As Conner and I were pushing the car, Dick came out. "Dude, stop pushing the car!" he yelled. "We have extra gas!" "We do?" I asked. "Yes, you idiot! Remember?" he said. "Nope," I said. "We bought it before we left because I knew this would happen eventually!" Dick yelled. "Still doesn't ring a bell," I told him. "Ughhhhhh," Dick said stuffing his face into his hands. "Let's just fill up the gas tank," Dick said opening the trunk and taking out the extra fuel. Conner and I got in the car as we waited for Dick to finish filling up the gas tank. "You're an idiot," Artemis said as I buckled my seatbelt. "I know -- you've told me like twenty times," I said rolling my eyes. Why did Artemis hate me? Well, aside from the fact that I'm an "idiot", why did she hate me? "I'm back and the car is good to go," Dick said coming in. I stepped on the gas pedal and started driving on the highway again. "Hey turn on the radio!" Zatanna yelled. I turned the radio on and "Fireflies" came on. "This song used to be my jam!" Raquel yelled from the way back. Everyone then started singing along. "You would not believe your eyes, if ten million fireflies, lit up the world as I fell asleep. 'Cause they fill the open air, and leave teardrops everywhere. You'd think me rude but I would just
stand and stare."

Zatanna's POV
Three hours had passed by and we had already passed the border between Washington and Idaho. The radio was off, Megan was at the wheel, Wally fell asleep next Artemis, who was sleeping as well, Raquel was playing a game on her phone, Kaldur was taking a nap next to her, Dick was doing something on his phone, and Conner was eating a snack. I took my phone out and plugged in my headphones. I turned on some music and stared out the window. I hummed along to the song as the car drove along the highway. "Hey, I'm gonna stop and get some more extra fuel so the incident that occurred earlier doesn't happen again," Megan said as she started parking the car outside of a gas station. "Okay," I said. Megan got her purse and started walking to the door. I looked around the car and noticed that Conner and Raquel both fell asleep in that short time. "Well everybody seems sleepy today," Dick said, chuckling. "Yeah," I said taking my headphones out. I put my phone and headphones away and looked out the window. Things have been awkward between me and Dick since our break-up in 11th grade.
Dick looked back at his phone and I took out a word search. I flipped to a random page and started circling all of the hidden words I could find. After about five minutes, Megan came back with three jerrycans full of gasoline. She put the jerrycans in the trunk then came back into the car. "Sorry for the wait," Megan said, coming in. "It's no problem," I said as she pulled out of the parking lot slowly. I continued my crossword as we got back onto the highway and continued to drive down it. I then looked up from the book and stared out the window. How much longer will this road trip take?
