He wanted them to not exist.
He wore long sleeves at all times. Students continued to harass him. The teachers ignored him as they did with most students . His family tried to get him to talk, but even they gave up eventually.

Jack honestly thought he'd be content with never speaking another word. But then when his family moved to America it became harder not to speak. Jack was forced to move to a new school. And it seemed as though nothing had changed. Even though Jack tried to hide the words on his arm, one of the kids found out. The names and jeers started up not to long after. Jack stuck to his no talking policy. It was safe.

American kids were worse than Irish kids. They shoved him into walls. They wrote the words on his locker. They threw things at him in class. Boys tried to get him to do disgusting things in the bathrooms. Girls tested him, trying to see if he was truly gay. Jack hated all of them. They would shove the words in his face and down his throat until it was hard to breathe. He skipped class just to avoid the teasing. He cursed his soulmate. Thanks to them, his life was a living hell. Whoever they were, they could rot in hell, as far as Jack was concerned. It was their fault his life was a wreck.

Jack sat in the library of the school for lunch. He never ate in the lunchroom. That place was a battle ground for Jack. He liked the library anyway. It was quiet. No one could yell at him. The librarian was very strict about his peace. He would have no disturbances in his library. Jack liked that.
It was a small sanctuary where he could be alone and play games as he pleased and eat his lunch in peace. The librarian liked Jack's no talking policy.
