School is such a pain in the ass. That is all you need to know on why I took a long time to update this book and I apologize from the bottom of my heart. However, my almost two months break is coming up so expect more updates coming through!

C H A P T E R T W O

It's been a week and I'm starting to think that agreeing to the bet is a bad idea.

A very bad idea.

I've made no progress at all.

Every time I try approaching him, I just get stunt by his beauty and mesmerising voice that it makes me nervous and turn my heels away from him. My body starts to sweat and my hands starts to shake for no reason even when I'm about five arm's length away from him. It's pretty tough walking up to a guy you secretly admire, knowing even the littlest things about him from the time you spent watching him creepily from afar. The way his muscle moves whenever he's strumming his guitar, the way he swipes his hair back from the sweat, even when he takes a sip of water from his water bottle can be oddly satisfying to watch.

I am totally not hiding myself behind a pillar and watching him like a creeper stalker.

I groan into the palms of my hands, swinging my head back in exaggeration as I fall flat onto the bean bag in the bookstore, not caring about what people would think of me.

"Hmm should I get a new pair of shoes with that $20 I'll be getting?" Ash smirks as she playfully twirls her hair while pretending to be in deep thought. "Oh wait, I'll get that dress you told me was really pretty in H&M."

"Har har, you're so hilarious Ash. Not to mention you're pretty confident with this bet. I still have about 3 weeks left you know."

"3 weeks yeah sure. I've seen you try Lou. And it was pretty interesting to watch. The closest you've ever got to him was like 20m apart from him, and to add on to it, you're always choosing the time where he's not even looking at your direction. I'd really like to see you try, and fail miserably again."

"Shut up." I shut her off, taking a small pillow nearby and throwing it at her which she catches so swiftly while sticking her tongue out at me.

I left the store, heading out towards him as usual. I could hear him faintly singing Photograph by Ed Sheeran and good lord, I feel like I'm in heaven. I stood behind the pillar I always hide myself with, a direction he will never look at and once again, watch him like a creepy stalker I am.

"Thank you." I hear him end off as he carefully packed his things, indicating that he's ended his shift for today. I look at the time from my watch and see that it's only 3pm. That's weirdly early to leave. Not wanting to waste anymore of my chances, I quickly walk towards him, only to hear the sound of a car honking not far away from me. I jump a little by surprise.
