Shōyō Hinata waved goodbye to his former classmates and jumped onto his bike. Shōyō Hinata was careful of his surroundings, everyone was, with all the ghoul attacks these days. The sun was setting and the sky was a burst of the colours yellow, pink and orange. Shōyō Hinata rode past a Ghoul Investigator and smiled at him. He didn't smile back. No one could trust each other anymore. There were so many ghouls under the disguise as humans. Your best friend could be a ghoul for all you know.
Suddenly, an arm pulled him into a dark alleyway. The person covered Shōyō Hinata's mouth with a cloth as he tried to get out of the person's grasp. Shōyō Hinata could feel his eyelids growing heavier, but he didn't give up. Shōyō Hinata kicked the person, but the person just stuffed the cloth into his mouth more.
Shōyō Hinata felt his eyes closing and his world went black.
