After about half an hour my mum came to pick us up. I had to say bye to Mark but I gave him all my social media and he said he would follow and text me. I had to half carry Shamiyah across to the car. Shamiyah fell asleep,luckily and so my mum asked what's wrong. I explained to her about Jacob and she didn't really understand. We dropped Shamiyah back at home then it was just me. I threw myself onto my bed and squealed in a ball, Mark will be going back to America soon but I don't think this is it for us.
*skips one year (one year later)*
Derricks Pov:
I was meeting up with Maddie in 10 minutes , as usual, we meet every Saturday. I've kind of forgot about the Mark thing since he flew back to America about a year ago and all Maddie has had is a few texts. Sadly Maddie hasn't forgot about Mark; not atall. Every day she would talk about Mark describing thier meet in detail. She was so distracted in school thinking about Mark. School wasn't going well for her she went from 1 or 2 detentions a day to suspensions, fights,detentions and skiving. The usual stone tapped on my window, I went downstairs to meet Maddie. This time she didn't have the usual happy look on her face as usual. She looked up at me.
Maddie:"Derrick"
Derrick:"Yeah what?"
Maddie:"Just before I say this please don't be mad we will always be friends I promise till the day I die"
Derrick:"Ok...Maddie this is getting a bit wierd what!?"
Maddie:"Well my dad got a job in America but we where going to ignore until..well.."
Derrick:"What!!!???"
Maddie:" I got expelled from school"
She bursts out in tears and hangs her head down low
Derrick:"So I guess what yours saying is your going to America.."
Maddie:"Yeah... Look Derrick I'm so sorry if I'd have known I was going to get expelled.."
Derrick:"What do I say to people at school tho, I will mess you so much Mads"
I gave her a huge hug
Maddie:"Tell the truth, look there's still a tad of good news"
Then it hit me, America, where Mark Thomas lives.
Maddie:"I'm moving to Pennsylvania near Mark"
She smiled through her tears. I guess it's the best for her but I sure will miss her. I gave her the biggest hug until we said our last goodbye. I trailed back to my room feeling like a worthless piece of shit, that's what I am without Maddie.
