*A few months later*
"So, Shaylee, can you tell me who Mitch is?" The strange man in the white coat asked. Sarah says he's a doctor but I've never seen a doctor like him before. He picked up a pen, ready to write down anything I had to say. I shuffled back into the hard, uncomfortable chair and shrugged, not wanting to give an answer. He smiled and pushed his chair closer to mine. "Shaylee, you dont have to be afraid. you can tell me anything" He said leaning closer, "Is he some kind of imaginary friend of yours?". I shook my head. "He's not imaginary, but he is my friend" I replied. His smile widened, "Oh, no, no, Of course not" He chuckled, scribbling notes onto his clipboard.
I sat silently, feeling intimadated by his laugh. "So, Shaylee, is he here now?" He asked looking up from his clipboard, eye brows raised. I closed my eyes tightly consentrating only on the breeze. I reopened them and quickly nodded. "Could you show me where?" He insisted. I pointed to the spot in the room that felt coldest. He closely examined the spot before writing down more notes. He put the pen down, got up and smiled, "well, Shaylee, that's all I need from you, today, thankyou for coming." he said holding out his hand to shake mine. I held my hand out and smiled politely. He closely examined the little birth mark, shaped in a Japanese sign that was on my wrist as I held out my hand. "Shaylee, could you wait out side for a minute while I talk to Dr Roberts" Tayhla, my other caretaker, called.
I walked out into the hallway and sat and waited. I noticed Mitch standing by the slightyl opened door, looking concentrated, trying to capture everything. When I finally reached the door reached had dissapeared yet I could still feel him there. I peeked through the door, hearing the voices from inside.
"Don't worry, Taylah, she is perfectly fine, its normal for young children to have imaginary friends, she'll out grow it" He reassured her. "and the nightmares?" Taylah asked. "She'll out grow that aswell, im sure. Many kids do go through a stage of night terrors, research shows that some kids who go through a constant nigh terror stage have a special gift. She's a very creative kid by the looks of it." He said. "Oh good, well, we'll probably be back in a few weeks. Thankyou Doctor." She replied.
I quickly sat back down in the hallway. "you're not imaginary are you Mitch?" I asked starring blindly into the open hallway. There was slinence for about a full minute until He finally appeared, in the seat next to me. He stared at me with dark, innocent eyes. He didnt reply but I knew what the answer was. He held out his hand and I put mine ontop of his. I shut my eyes and felt him squeeze my hand slightly. Warmness fllowed through my body. It was soothing. It seemed real to me. I opened my eyes and smiled. He gave a big smirk and turned to face the door. "c'mon, Shay, lets go" Tayhla called. "Okay" I replied skipping down the hallway.
Kinda ran out of ideas but hear you go.
