I feel my body crash as I reach the front door of my apartment. I felt so weak and tired but I managed to climb back up to my feet. I pushed the door open with all my strength and began to search. I quickly scanned through every room of my apartment to check for a difference in room temperature. I stopped in the living room noticing that it felt slightly cooler in there. "Mitch?" I whisper quietly. I paced slowly around the room feeling it become colder and colder. It was silent, it just didn't feel right.
An air vent that sat just next to the television caught my attention. I walked slowly over to it, with each step closer I cold feel the cold air. I finally realized..... My eyes were red with rage. "ughh!" I shouted punching the wall. I could fill the tears build up as the pain caused my fist to swell. I stomped to the kitchen cursing as loud as I can. I sat on the floor, trying to calm down. I looked down at my feet as the tears rolled down my cheek. He was gone. "no more Mitch" I whispered through breathes.
I got up and looked down at the table in front of me, filled with notes, papers and other things. Without a second thought, I flipped the table over causing papers to fly everywhere. My heart pounded and the tears turned into guilt as I looked down at the big mess that I had made. A odd piece of paper with the word "grave" written on it caught my attention. My eyes widened. Without a second thought I ran out the front door as fast as i could without questioning myself.
The wind was fierce and the rain was strong, yet nothing could stop me at this point in time. Strangers in the street, holding umbrellas stared at me with weird looks as I ran past them. I finally stopped just before the big hill. An elderly man watched as I caught my breath. I wanted nothing more than to reach the top of that hill and with that thought I began running again and slipped in the mud.
"are you alright, ma'am?" The elderly man asked gesturing to help.
"I'm fine thanks" I said with a smile while attempting to brush off the mud which I had now covered my entire body.
I felt my body become weak as I walked the last few steps to the top of the hill. A huge smile smothered my face as I read the words "Harbour Lawn-Mount Olive Memorial Park".
"I'm here" I whispered to myself....
OoOoO a twist. sorry this is short but i can't be bothered doing anything else at the moment but enjoy
