Flora Hunter

"Flora, have you packed your bags?"

"Yes Mom."

"Are you ready to go then, darling?"

"Yes Mom," I reply with an exhausted sigh.

I grab my suitcase and my rucksack from the hem of my bed and rush downstairs.

My mom's already at the bottom of the staircase so when I reach her, she engulfs me in a hug and with an excited grin on her face, she says, "Have fun, honey."

"I will Mom, thanks," and after hugging my younger sister, Roxy, I walk out the front door to see my dad smiling and waving at me in his car.

I grin back and open the car door and after plopping my luggage into the boot of the car, I settle myself down back in my seat and close the door.

Looking back at my house, I see my mom and my sister waving to me from the front door.

I wave back and then my dad starts the engine and we drive off.

After an exhausting journey of 4 hours 22 minutes (yes I worked that out, well done me) my dad finally arrives at the camp and I look out the window to see the second home I've had for the last five years.

Opening the door, I step outside and my dad passes me my bags from the boot.

"Have a great time Flo," he says, giving me one last hug.

"Thanks Dad. See ya later," I say, smiling up at him.

I walk into the building and greet the receptionist at the front desk.

"Hey Linda."

"Hey Flora, it's been so long. Do you want your timetable and your room keys?"

"Yeah, thanks."

After being given a map of block A, a timetable and a set of room keys, I venture out to find my room in the block A building.

After two flights of steps and a difficult time getting the key to turn the lock, I finally manage to open the door to my room.

The first thing that meets my eyes is a girl with long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail is glaring in my direction with a fierce, determined expression and she's holding a baseball bat.

As soon as she sees me, she drops her bat.

"Flora?"

"Eve!" I practically scream, lunging myself at her.

She returns my attack and laughs, "Oh my god, it's been ages Flo!"

"I know right!" I agree with her, and then I catch sight of the baseball bat still on the floor.

"Umm Eve, why is there a baseball bat on the floor?"

"Oh, I thought you were a burglar when you were trying to turn the lock," she says with a sheepish grin.

"So... you just happen to have a baseball bat for that particular situation," I smirk.

"Self-defence!" She implies, causing me to laugh.

I look around the room. It's a good size for two people.

There are two single beds in the middle separated only by a bedside table.

There's a large window on one of the walls as well as a painting, two wardrobes and a bookcase.

"It's a nice room," I comment.

"Yeah," Eve agrees, " Although, I do wish the teachers would let us put up posters of male porn stars," which causes me to laugh again.

"I always wonder why my collage of abs was taken down," Eve adds with an exaggerated sigh.
