Author's Note: Hi everyone, as this is the final chapter of this story (though hopefully not for Liz and Steve; and Bora have a long future ahead of them, of course!), I thought I'd treat you guys to a photo of Liz's wedding dress. If you want a proper look check it out at https://www.theknot.com/fashion/9411-allure-bridals-wedding-dress . Just imagine the sheer fabric on the back and arms not being there, there is also no lace on Liz's arms.
Thank you all so much for reading and sticking with me this long. It means a lot, thank you again. As always remember to comment and vote, I love to read your feedback, FanGirl8ygc3804
"Liz! Come on! Get up!" Nora shook me roughly, even though it was well before dawn.
"Noooora! Five more minutes." I turned over, pulling the quilt with me, but she teleported to the other side of the bed and yanked the covers from me.
"You can't over sleep on your wedding day Lizzy!" She retaliated. I paused and took a moment to just lie there and stare at the ceiling. Gathering my thoughts I ran a hand through my styled by pillow hair and scooted off the bed.
I sat there for a minute and looked at my dress. It had taken so much energy and concentration to have all my powers work together, to create the perfectly white dress that hung before me.
The Dress. It was elegant and perfectly me. It had a low cut back to account for my wings and a sweetheart neckline that showed my markings. It hugged my waist flowed out around my hips into a ballgown shape with a small train. The material was mainly plain with a lace overlay which thinned out on the skirt itself and yet decorated the hem of the skirt.
Nora I'd failed to note when she'd woke me up was already dressed and her hair already styled. She even had on a red rose corsage, not a doubt in my mind that it had been given to her by Bucky. She helped me into my dress and sorted out the mess that was my hair. Pulling it up into a ballerina bun and pushing the clip for the veil into it; the veil itself was only short with a simple lace hem.
We shared a drink just the two of us before Natasha and Fern joined us. Natasha in the short time I'd known her had become an amazing friend and an ally for all time, despite what had happened between Steve and Tony. Fern was ecstatic about the whole thing. We sat nervously waiting, well they sat and I was nervous.
By the time Bucky came to check on us, I was a little calmer.
"How's the blushing bride?" He asked, looking handsome in his tuxedo.
"Shaky." I replied honestly, at this point there was no point in lying.
"Good."
"Good?" I questioned, "How is that good?"
"Because Steve is more than shaky, I win my bet." He walked over to Nora and Natasha and collect some money as they whined.
"You guys bet against me? Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence, guys." I sighed and let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding, they shrugged in reply. Bucky offered his arm to Nora and they headed for the door.
"Steve says 'hi', and he loves you." He said to me as he was leaving with Nora, Fern kissed my cheek and followed, no doubt meeting Warren outside. Natasha took both my hands in hers,
"If you repeat this to anyone I'll deny it, but you're the best friend I could have ever asked for. Before you I only had allies, you gave me a friend and you gave Clint the courage to ask me to coffee, thank you." She dropped my hands and gave me a tight hug which I returned equally tightly. Before she let go she whispered in my ear, "That never happened either." She pulled back and wiped a tear from my eye and left.
