Silent Assassin

Introduction

I brushed my teeth and fixed my hair, as I got dressed for work. I stopped and I stared at the mirror for a minute, preparing myself for another hectic day at work. Working at Townhouser is a good company for me. But the people there are beyond stupid and annoying. I wished one day I can make my own marketing business. Ah but only a dream. I decided it's best to leave now and leave the sanctity of my home. To Mr. Henderson's loud mouth. I can deal with it being the top female out of all the men that work there. I was kinda the s**t. And I'll let any man know that.

Gina (my assistant) - Mrs. Latimore, you have three calls from EcTon this morning.

EcTon was a company I was hoping to get sign to Townhouser. In a few more weeks I think I can make it happen.

Dawn - Okay can you have them ready after Henderson's meeting.

Gina - Yes mam, right away.

I turned around and faced Gina.

Dawn - ???

Gina - Yes Mrs. Latimore.

I hated to be called mam. It made me feel old and I'm way from being that. I'm only 28.

I began to walk to the Haristock room.

Alayna - Girl watch your back. (Shakes head)

Brian - Good luck.

Why was everyone trying to warn me? Like was there budget cuts? Am I in trouble?

I walked in and took a seat as all the seat began to fill up.

Mr. Henderson - For today's meeting I want to introduce a new comer Adrian.
( motions someone to come in).

?? - GoodMorning, I'm Adrian and I will be assisting the investment of EcTon.

Henderson began to walk to his office.
I was in space so much I didn't capture the part that he was helping in my department.

I looked up and there he was Adrian Hopkins " The best marketer in New York". I smiled to hide how much I was angry inside, Henderson never mentioned this. 

Adrian began to stare at me.

I walked out and made my way to Henderson's office.

I approached the door and he gave a big sigh. I closed the door.

Henderson - What is it now, Latimore?

Dawn - Don't act like you don't know. Why you didn't tell me?

Henderson - Because I knew you would make a big fit of it. Like you are now!

Dawn - Ugh. You know I don't need him. I can handle it by myself. He think he can just take my place. Well you know we'll see about that.

Knock knock.

Henderson - Come in. It's Adrian, be nice.

Dawn - hmph!

Adrian - I wanted to thank you again, for this position in your company.

Henderson - No problem!

I began storm off. How he could be so willing to him but not understand my side. (Shakes my head). As I went to my office I felt hands on my back push me in and closed the door. I turned around in shocked.
