I get dressed up for this ridiculous little play date. But my main focus is this deal and commission. I can not afford to mess this up.

I can't lie I look stunning. I drive up to the specific restaurant and it was beautiful.

Valet - May I get the keys?

Dawn - Yes here! Thank you!

Valet - You are very welcome, Madam.

What great manners these valet people have. Maybe to great, anyways. I walk into the restaurant. I am greeted by a person.

?? - Excuse me, Mam?

Dawn - Yes?

?? - Your name?

Dawn - Latimore.

?? - Oh yes. You may follow him. (He pointed to a waiter.

The waiter had instructed me to the back, which pretty much looked like a VIP section. It was way fancier than the walls and tables previous.

We reached towards a table seated by a nicely lit window. It was beautiful. As soon I was about to speak. A.fellow from the table stood up and faced me. It was Adrian.

Adrian -Wow, I'm surprised you came!

The waiter had left us alone, he probably figured.

Dawn - Um... yea.

Adrian - (Got closer) You look beautiful.

Dawn - (Confused). Thank you.

Adrian - You welcome.

15 minutes laters

Dawn - I enjoy us talking but where is the executive board they were supposed to be here 15 minutes ago.

Adrian - You do?

Dawn - What?

Adrian - You enjoy us talking?

Dawn - Omg. Just answer the question.

Adrian - They are not coming.

Dawn - Wait, what?!

Adrian - Henderson had tricked us. Can't you see?

Dawn - This man won't stop for nothing.

Adrian - Waiter!!

Waiter - Yes sir, May I help you?

Adrian - Yes, we would like to switch tables for a booth.

Waiter - Yes sir, this way.

Dawn and Adrian had followed the waiter towards the new placement. They say and began finishing their conversations.

Adrian - You're kind of a savage!

Dawn - Yea...

Adrian - I like that.

Dawn - Okay...

Something had gripped my thigh under neath the table. I jumped a little.

Dawn - Adrian.

Adrian - huh?

Dawn - What are you doing?

Adrian - Nothing.

Dawn - Can you stop? (Pushes his hand away)

Adrian - Damn, at least you could loosen up on me?

Dawn - Loosen up for you? A man who is trying to steal my job and career. But I'm the one who needs to loosen up. Maybe you didn't catch my drift the first time.

Adrian - Whoa, 'my drift'? Someone's talking hood?

Dawn - Hood? Oh you would say that since I'm a minority.

Adrian - No, I didn't mean it like that!

Dawn - So what you meant then?

Adrian - I meant it as a joke, not to offend you, I'm sorry.

Dawn - Whatever!

Adrian - Why you always angry?

Dawn - I'm not always angry, well not necessarily angry. It's protection and strength from people.

Adrian - Like who?

Dawn - You.

Adrian - Why people like me?

Dawn - Men.

Adrian - (Laughs hysterically)

Dawn - What's so funny? Because I don't find anything hilarious about this situation. Because I'm speaking truth.

Adrian - I found it funny why you have to protect yourself from us.

Dawn - Because all of y'all are scrubs and do fucked up things. Then afterwards y'all act innocent and find it funny. Like you! Trying to seduce me and shidd. Just so I can be distracted and lose my position. I'm not dumb okay?

Adrian - Wow.

Dawn - Yea, wow!

Adrian - You really think I'll do that to you??

Dawn - Um... yea.

Adrian - Come here!

Adrian - I like you a lot, but i understand your views so I'll leave you alone for now. But I'm not included in those perceptions of yours. I don't want to seduce you unless you want me to. I won't cheat for a position. I just hope the best person wins.

Dawn - okay...

Adrian - That's it, no more attitude?

Dawn - You want me to catch one?!

Adrian - No I'm good. (Smiles)

She smiles back at him. They stare at each other for awhile. A few minutes they decide to leave the restaurant. They hugged for a brief moment and went their own ways.
