I found myself in a large room under deck, the room had  a large queen sized bed and many different types of trinkets hanging around. The table was filled with maps which had multiple pins in an different destinations. I continued to look around the room when captain Jonathan smith entered.

"make yourself comfortable here girly. you'll be staying in here." He blankly said, walking towards me and the maps. I stepped away from him in disgust, he just gazed down at the maps in thought.

"how exactly do you expect me to be comfortable when I am surrounded by pirates? I Hate pirates! especially when one is trying to make me his slave!" I said in a stern tone as I crossed my arms and sent him some more death glares.

"Get over yourself. It's not like I would have used a girl like you to please myself." He said looking at me, a bitter tone emphasized the word 'you'. He looked up at me and chuckled, shaking his head. "Get yer ass movin', you have work to do just like the rest of the crew."  he said and looked back down at the maps. I stood there for another moment and watched him. "Go help William with the cookin' girly." He let out a small chuckle as if his little stereotype for a woman was funny. I walked out of the room a bit peeved and walked along the deck looking for William.

I found him carrying a barrel of ale as he walked across the deck. As I walked pass all the crew members I realized just how big they all were. I understand I'm an only 5'4" but damn. They all were taller then me by at least half a foot. only one that was anywhere near my height was Captain Jonathan. But he did look as if he was only a year older then I was.

Why was that guy captain anyway? wouldn't you want your captain to be the toughest and biggest guy you had? I don't understand pirates. They are all so... so AGRIVATING!

William showed me to the kitchen and he placed the barrel down on the ground and turned towards me with a smile.

"Okay well since you are now a pirate on this ship I need to know yer name." William said in the kindest way he could. and for a big scruffy looking pirate he didn't seem like a pirate. He seemed more caring then the other pirates on board.

"Please don't call me a pirate. I don't even know why I am in this situation." He shrugged and continued to just look at me. "My name is Scarlet."

"Scarlet... hm that's not exactly a pirate name. Mind if I call you Scar?"

"Please stop calling me a pirate!" I said in a stern voice. "I am NOT a pirate! I don't care what you or that  dumb captain say! I AM NOT A PIRATE!" I clenched my fists and he raised his hands and opened them flat towards me. As if telling me to calm down. I took a deep breath and crossed my arms and looked away.

"I understand your mad Scar but this is best for you right now. It's keeping you alive isn't it?" I kept my eyebrows knitted together as I looked away. "Captain could have just thrown you overboard but he made a decision to keep you alive. Don't let him regret it."

William turned towards a large pot filled with water and began heating it up . He placed some carrots in front of me and handed me a knife to cut them, meanwhile he placed onions in front of himself.  As he carefully chopped up the onions I quickly cut the carrots  into thin equal sections. we threw the vegetables into the pot to boil and he took out some well seasoned meat and started cooking that.  He handed me some other ingredients to put in after cutting. After we finished it was only a little bit till supper. He walked me around the ship to show me where things were. Every time we came by another crew member I would  motion closer to him. He would let out a small chuckle each time I did so.

When supper came I was told to give all the men their stew, while he would put the stew in bowls and hand out the ale. Each time I went out I saw all their disgusting eyes focus on me, I felt a chill down my back each time. I placed their food down and tried not to get too close to them or to look them in the eyes. as I motioned back towards the kitchen one grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him. He was eyeing my mother's ring and that threw me over the edge. I took firm grip of his hand and spun so his arm was over my shoulder, I pulled him over my back and shoulder and threw him down onto the hardwood table. The men all watched, curious to what was going to happen next. I clenched my fists again and glared at the man who was on the floor in front of me.

"Don't touch that!" I said with a stern and threatening tone, my glare intensified. "I don't care what you decide to do with me. but don't you DARE touch my jewelry!" they all looked at me shocked. "Am I understood?" I said looking at all of them and they all nodded slightly. I felt fire burning in my eyes, suddenly there was laughter coming from the end of the table. I turned and saw the captain.

"Got something you want to say Johnny boy?" I said looking at him and his laughing stopped and he just looked at me with a grin.

"nah... just never thought we would see you snap so quickly." he stood and walked towards me, the man I had flipped had crawled to the side. "And to think... you would snap over such small things." He said standing in front of me and lightly lifted my necklace off my chest. As he did so I went to slap his hand away but he grabbed my hand and nodded, examining my ring.

"get your hands off of me...." I said in a calm yet pissed tone. he just smiled and let go of me, turning towards the men.

"None of you are to have sexual contact with her of any kind. she is off limits to the likes of you." he said looking at all the men with a serious face on. the men's jaws dropped, as if they couldn't believe what their captain had just said.

"Eh? but captain you said we could..." some of the men began to speak but the captain just raised a hand and silenced them.

"I know what I told you previously... I have changed my mind. This girl is my property. Any of you touch her and you'll have to deal with me... am I understood?" He said and they all nodded. I looked at him in disbelief.

"Excuse me?!  I am the property of NO ONE!"  I said angered at him. He let out a sigh and exited the dinning area.

"When you are done feeding the men, report to our room."

"OUR room??" I asked him still slightly confused.

"oh yeah.... I forgot to tell you. the room you were in before was my bedroom." He winked and smiled. "See you in a bit." he walked out of my sight and I just stood bewildered.

Wh-what did he mean? by I was his property?!  and was he serious when he said that we were sharing a room?

I saw all the men watch me as I walked back to the kitchen where William was carrying ale towards the door and he backed away before I ran into him. I kept my head down and away from him, he looked at me and shock seemed to be on his face.

"I hate you pirates!" I ran out of the kitchen and to the upper deck, I found myself on the top deck alone. I can get out of here, and it could be so simple... all I have to do is jump over the edge of the boat. I can swim... I'll make it to land.

I climbed over the side of the boat and stood on the railing, I looked down at the dark waters. I held onto my necklace as it hung around my neck, I took a deep breath and jumped.
