"Captain...!" I spoke suddenly and he looked at me slightly shocked. I continued. "... I need to thank you." He looked at me unsure of what to say, I clentched my fists and looked down. "I know you like to tease me and all that but the truth is you have really helped me." I looked into his eyes and smiled "With out you i would be dead on more then one occassion..."
"Did you drink too much? whats gotten into you?" He questioned and pinched my cheek slightly, I smacked his hand away and blushed getting a bit peeved.
"Ugh! can't you see i'm trying to show my thanks to you?" i said and crossed my arms looking away from him angry now. Damn Pirate doesn't know when to stop joking.
"Show your thanks with your body..." He said with a mischievous grin, getting close to me. I stood still, I looked away and pushed him back.
"Stop fooling around! You always say about how you would never please yourself with a woman like me." i pointed out looking down and away from him.
"So you wan't me to please myself with you?" he asked questionably lifting my chin up again. I looked at him in slight disbelief, i felt my entire face turn redder instantly. He laughed and i groaned at his joke. He calmed down and looked at me, he patted my head as if I was a child. "It's my job to protect you... rule number one." I looked at him as he said that.
Protect your buddies... that what he see's me as. For some strange reason i felt my chest hurt a little. I pushed his hand off of me and i walked away from him.
After some time of us sitting in silence I went to speak but he beat me to it.
"So you found out...?" He asked and I just looked at him shocked to how he knew. "William told you didn't he?" I Nodded and twiddled my thumbs against eachother in my hands. He let out a sigh and i saw him take a sip of his rum that he had poured for himself a couple minutes ago.
"I asked him... i was curious-"
"About what?" he asked interupting me quickly. I looked at him and saw how he gripped his glass tightly in hand.
"I was curious about you..." I answered. He finished his drink and poured himself some more as i continued. "I wanted to find out stuff about you. Like what did you do before this? why did you become a pirate?" I started asking questions off the top of my head and he gulped down another glass of his rum, the aroma of the alcohol filled the room.
"Your really interested in those pointless things?" He asked and his tone was stern, i could telll he wasn't in a joking mood any longer. I simply nodded. "Fine..." He said grabbing the bottle of rum and his glass and coming over to the bed and sitting next to me. He poured a drink as he started to talk. "What did i do before being captain? i was first mate for the previous captain...." He took a sip as he placed the bottle down. "... and why did i become a pirate? well because it was pretty much the family bussiness." i looked at him confused.
"Family Bussiness...?" I asked and he nodded. He seemed to be deep in thought, biting his lip harshly before talking again. He shook his head and patted my head slightly.
"you shouldn't know about these things. it's in the past and pointless to bring up." I watched and looked at him
"What did you do with their bodies...?" I asked wanting to know if my parents bodies were properly buried.
He looked down into his empty glass "The previous captain was tossed to the ocean, as if he was chum and scraps." He went to fill his cup and I placed my hand on his arm.
"y-you did what was right." He bit his lip harshly as I said that and nodded. "w-what happened to the parents? Toss them away too?" He shook his head and my heart beat harsh against my chest.
"We were near a island, We buried them properly." he gripped the glass harsh in his hand. "I just... that little girl flew off so quickly. I couldn't find her, it haunts me even to this day." I bit my lip and watched him in thought.
Captain doesn't know that.... That little girl is right in front of him. and that she is currently a member of his crew...-- what is wrong with me?! Part of his crew? I'm not a pirate.. No matter what any of them said.
