A pirate's life for me.

Chapter 4

I woke up to feel my head hurting, a large blanket was over my body and I was in a bed. I looked around the room and noticed I was in the same room from yesterday but the morning sunlight was coming in the large window I turned and saw captain Jonathan next to me in the bed, without his shirt on. He was already awake and just looking at me.

"mornin' sunshine... did you sleep well?" he asked and I turned away from him. "oh by the way... you've got yourself a nice pair there." I turned and looked at him confused, to see him motion to my chest and I looked down and noticed my white shirt from yesterday was unbuttoned and open freely. I closed it and crossed my arms, I glared at him and he raised his hands like William had yesterday. "Don't give me your Glares. I didn't do it, you did." he said pushing his brown hair back slightly.

"What are you going on about?" I held my shirt closed and looked at him.

"you unbuttoned it and wanted to continue to strip cause you were overheating. be glad I didn't let you." he said with a teasing smile on his face and winked at me.

"S-so you didn't do anything?" I asked him as I buttoned up my shirt and tucked it into my pants.

"well I wouldn't say that.. I did take a good look at them, but that's about it." He said putting his hands behind his head, seeming please with himself. I stood up and rolled my eyes, pulling my boots on I looked over my shoulder and at him.

"Okay then, what's my job today captain?" I said with a sigh and put my hand on my hip.

"stay by me today. convince the crew that 'we' are really real." he said standing up and began getting dressed.

"I will not allow myself to become love stricken by you. I wont cling onto you, and I won't be your slave." I said setting my rules. He came closer to me and lightly tugged on my hair and pulled my head back.

"I think this will be the beginning of a very beautiful friendship girly" He kissed my cheek and chuckled. I sighed and pulled my head up.

"Don't let yourself believe that I like you cause I don't... understood?" I said as I walked towards the door.

"Yes babe.." he said in a joking tone and I shivered at the thought of being his property. He put his hat on and took hold of my hand and pulled me out of the room. I didn't realize how much my head hurt until we stepped out onto the deck and I heard the men at work, moving and throwing crates and boxes and climbing the ropes as well as shouting to one another.

I saw the guy from last night climbing the ropes and setting the sail, he wore a bandana and a grey shirt, along with another black pair of pants. I couldn't help but watch him as he so effortlessly moved along the beams.

Captain pulled me to the upper deck and he watched as everyone worked hard at everything they did. They all even smiled while doing their jobs.

they have fun? they are pirates and happy to be it.... how come? why? and I still cant figure out why Jonathan is their captain. He hasn't shown any potential to be the strongest... and he certainly isn't the biggest. why is he their captain?

Captain tugged on my hand and woke me out of my thoughts as I realized I was still staring at the guy on the beams. He looked at me and smiled, captain looked up at him and he immediately looked away. William was moving barrels with the other men and looked at me curious, I shrugged at him.

I don't know why but William doesn't act like a pirate. He doesn't act like a thieving and lying ass. He doesn't seem like part of the scum of the world. I looked around and watched as all the men were at work, and captain looked out at the sea. He stood behind me and pointed out at the sea, his hands moving to my waist after pointing.

"What do you see?" He asked and I looked out at the sea and saw a large ship.

"A ship?" I said looking at him confused, he smirked and nodded.

"it's a ship of the kings men." he said and I still looked confused.

"what does that mean?" I asked and he kissed my cheek.

"I'll tell you what it means... " he said as he turned towards the crew and took a deep breath. "Sail Ho! prepare to attack!" he shouted and All the men quickly finished what they were doing and got out swords and guns, my eyes widened and I looked at him confused. I felt the captain tug on my pants and put something in them.

"What do I do now?" I asked him as he let go of me and headed towards the crew.

"Yer gonna fight babe. but you'll stay on board my ship." He said winking at me, smiling.

"Okay... " I said as I looked at what he placed in the hem of my pants. It was a revolver, Six shots. I have never killed before, how am I gonna do this? I froze as we got closer to the ship. everyone was hidden and I was pulled towards the man steering the ship, I watched him not wanting to look at the ship as we stopped next to it.

next thing I knew the crew was all screaming and jumping or swinging across to the other ship, some of the kings men made it onto our ship and came up towards me and the man. I tucked the gun towards the back of me and I Kicked one of the men, sending them back and off of the ship and into the harsh water. Another man grabbed my arm and tried to push me over board but one of the crew members had placed themselves perfectly, so they only kicked the man away from me and didn't hit me as they swung and got off the rope about two feet away from me.

I looked at the man to see the guy from last night, he smiled at me. I looked away from him and focused on dealing with some of the men on board our ship. I got rid of about 2 more and some of the other men dealt with the rest, captain along with other crew members carried over some chests... LARGE chests. as we slowly steered away from the frantic ship of king's men there was a loud BOOM! and I covered my ears. the other ship was now on fire and we were far enough away to where we would be fine.

I looked at the captain to see him walking towards me, he had a smile on his face and hugged me, my eyes widened slightly and he lifted my chin and kissed me; but this time not on my cheek... he closed his eyes and wrapped his arms tightly around me. I gripped his shirt and kissed him back once I noticed some of the men watching.... this better be part of his plan.

After we pulled away he smiled and hugged my head into his chest, he then did something but i'm not sure what it was. all I know is that I was then pulled into his room and after two of the crew members left the door was closed.

"What the hell was that!?" I asked him as I pushed him away from me.

"just relax. you should have seen how shocked they were though!" he said and began laughing as he laid back on the bed. He pointed to one of the 2 new chests in our room. "That one is yours..."

"What do you mean?" I looked at the larger chest and raised an eyebrow curious. I then looked back at him and he sighed.

"Just open it and shut yer trap girly." he bluntly said and I walked over to it and hesitated to open it, but I did.... slowly but I did. and I couldn't believe what I saw.
