Chapter 1- New Friends

I walked angrily around my room. My handmaiden had told me that today I needed to look extra nice, though she wouldn't tell me why.

And what annoys me to the tip of my existance is that it is another thing that could end up in me being a totally different me than I think I really am. Though I don't really know what I expect from myself. If I knew that, than this curse of mine would be considerably more bearable.

"Liz?" Zachary called from the doorway.

I immediatly stopped pacing and fixed my posture and appearance as if on instinct to meet his expectations of me. Then I called my permission of entering to him.

"Hey. Your parents would like to see you in the chair room." He said, using the old name we gave the throne room when I was younger. He still uses that! I was like, 4! And not to mention, he is 5 years older than me.

"Alright. Thank you, Zach." Then I turn and look at my reflection in the mirror from across the room. I was wearing a silk purple dress that was a little loose and my hair was down and curled. I had my favorite violet heels on as well. When I dubbed myself ready for public eyes, I nodded to Zach and we went on our way.

We got to the throne room and he looked at me as he said, "Good luck, princess."

I walked in after being announced by our guards, and saw that my parents weren't alone. There were two figures talking politely to my parents.

When my parents saw me, I had to meet their expectations of me. That, sadly, is my curse. Forever having to meet people's expectations of me when in their presence. And I was relieved to figure out that these two newcomers didn't have any expectations of me.

"Ah, there she is!" My mother, Queen Clarisse, exclaimed.

I curtseyed to her and smiled at my father, King Chris.

"Hello, Mother, Father." I turned to the newcomers, "I'm Princess Elizzabetta Cordona."

One of them was obviously a girl, with long brown hair that reached her shoulder blades and striking green eyes. She wore a teal dress that showed her curves. She was actually very pretty. She smiles to me and says, "Hello. I'm Princess Autumn Alzie. And this is my older sister, Princess Aisha Alzie. We are here as guests until our parents return from sea."

I nod as I smile and turn to Aisha. She definetly didn't look like a princess. She actually looked like a commoner boy. What with her floppy green cap going over her eyes, her hair cut shorter than what is respectable for girls, and for clothing... she wore a sea green shirt that was probably fitted, and navy short shorts. I have honestly never seen such scandalous clothing on girls before! I'll ask her about that later. And finally, I got to look at their shoes.

Autumn's were aqua colored flats, and Aisha's... were blue... I don't know actually.

"Excuse me, Princess Aisha? What are th-," but before I could continue, she cut me off by putting a finger to my lips.

"Princess Elizzabetta, please. I hate formalities. Just call me Aisha." Then she put her finger down off my lips.

And I was surprised when I almost whimpered from the sudden lack of warmth. I nod as Autumn giggles. I look at her questioningly, and she just shakes her head, still smiling.

"Okay, Aisha, what are those things on your feet?" I finally ask.

"Oh these?" she sounds surprised, "These are called flip flops. Our kingdom invented them only three days ago. Only the royal family got them already."

"Oh." Was all I was able to say.

"Anyway, dear, we would like our guests to stay with you, as you are our only child, and we don't want to have them in the old guest rooms." My father said.

I nodded, "Alright, Father, Mother."

With that I turned, and walked out of the throne room, the two foreign Princessess hot on my heels.

We passed guards on our way to my room. Then Autumn stopped, so naturally, Aisha and I stopped to wait for her.

When it was evident that she wasn't going to move anytime soon, Aisha said, "Really? Again, Autumn?"

That's when I noticed that Autumn was blushing.

"Who is it this time?" Aisha asked, rather irratibly.

Autumn just pointed out the window, and we crowded around it. Then, when I saw what she was looking at, I gasped.

"How scandalous!" I cried, "Princess Autumn, why are you looking at half naked, training young men?!?"

Autumn turned to me, a look of confusion on her face, "What are you talking about? Im pointing to that girl over there."

That's when I see her. And I dont get what's so special about the new girl guard. I shrugged and kept walking. I knew the others would follow me, seeing as they didnt know their way around the castle.

'Well, this should be fun.'
