The second memory
It must have been about two weeks since the party and Austin could not get Nia out of his head. Something about how she talked like she knew she had him before even he knew. It must have been her eyes that looked like they have seen more trouble than he could imagine. If Austin was to be honest with him self he would have to say that the short skirt Nia wore was definitely a bonus.
Isaac on the other hand was more indifferent about the girls. "Look, it's just I'v herd some not so great things about them," Isaac explained as they walked to school with backpacks weighing down every step.
"And you cared so much when you were hitting on Jordan at the party?"
"I'll admit, they are hot but just way to much trouble."
"I'm trouble," responded Austin now walking backwards. He tapped his hands on his chest and extended his long arms to make him self look bigger.
"Yea you are," Isaac said with a laugh, "but not the same kind of trouble that they are."
As that sentence faded to an end a used looking Honda began driving along side the boys. The car slowed down and the driver side window lowered. "Austin right?" Screamed a female voice from the car.
"Uh, yea," he responded hesitantly, not recognizing the voice. Then a head popped out of the drivers window and Nia's bright face was revealed. This time her hair was long, wavy, and pink. Her eyes were outlined in black eyeliner, and her lips naturally pink.
"What a shame, you don't remember me," Nia mocked making a poutty face that sent Austins hart ablaze.
Austin took this as an invitation to walk over to her car, motioning for Isaac to join him. "The pink hair threw me off, but who could forget that face?" Austin flirted while leaning into the wind.
"Well since you seem so friendly today, do you two dorks wanna skip school and hang with us?"
"Us?" Questioned Isaac. Having only heard Nia's voice it seemed like she was alone.
"Us. Jordan is sleeping in the back seat. She's not exactly a morning person, but I have a feeling seeing you won't make her mad."
Turning to Isaac and saying no words Austin asked for his approval on the plan. Being as Isaac didn't say no he turned back to Nia, "we'r in."
Throwing her head back she exclaimed "yay! Put your shit in the trunk and I'll tell you the plan." Nia pressed the button and with a small click the trunk popped open. Austin and Isaac walked behind the car and carelessly tossed their backpacks inside. They then walked back around, Austin sat in the front with Nia, and Isaac got in the back slamming the door and waking Jordan up.
Jordan sat up groggy eyed and Nia began to explain the days activities. "We are stealing Mrs.Dwerko's cat," she stated to Isaac and Austin.
"Stealing a cat?" Isaac asked unsure of the whole thing.
"Yea," Nia responded as if the theft of small house pets was an average pass time she had, until now, thought the boys partook in often.
"Hear us out," began Jordan as she slowly became fully awake. "Mrs.dwerko is a total bitch, not deserving of anythings company. Even her husband knows this, that's why he's never home. I mean when I was 4 she stole my bike cuz' I left it out. Oh! and she popped my bouncy house when I was 6, and she called the cops on my 'small' party last month."
"See," Nia timed in, "besides she named the dammed think Johnson, she doesn't deserve to own a cat."
Turning around in the seat to face Isaac, Austin responded, "Stealing a cat it is." By the time the conversation had come to an end Nia was parking the car on a street located between two small suburb homes.
