From The Journal Of Lorraine Ellis

March 10, 1924

Seeing her had been the most welcome sight. Even though it had been years, we fell almost immediately back into our old friendship. She looked well, the happiest I had ever seen her. Her husband was ever the gentleman and, of course, her daughter was just as beautiful as she was.

Nothing had changed about her. She was still as outspoken as ever, something most men would not tolerate. Her husband, though, only smiled at her lovingly as she spoke and laughed. Even when she commented on how handsome both Wesley and Jesse were (who we introduced as Warren Taylor), all he could do was laugh.

Jesse laughed, too, especially when I agreed with her.

Their time spent with us will probably be some of my favorite time in Pallandino.
