So here I am! About to enter the ballroom. In this annoyingly tight gown. Meeting all the dragons who can basically turn into humans. A princess wearing a crown. And here's the funniest part. I'm being crowned Queen. Today.
My dress is no ordinary one that I have worn when I was small back at the mansion. My blonde hair was curled and tied up into a hug bun. Some hair falling, covering my forehead. I'm not sure about the dress. But it just reminds me of a mermaid. Its ends were really lose. Sometimes flutters a little. Sequins everywhere. Huge and small white glittering stars showered from the bottom to the top. Bottled looking earing hung loosely down my ear A blue cape hung from my neck down to the red-carpeted floor.
"Ladies and Gentleman! This is the time all of us have been waiting for! Queen Layla's daughter and being crowned queen of the dragon realm today! The one and only. . . Princess Lucy Heartfilia!" Drums queued ending the hosts last sentence. Everyone waiting for me to enter.
Inhaling and exhaling. The huge doors were pulled opened. I watched as bright lights illuminated me. This is your time Lucy. You can do it. One step. Followed by another. And another. Continuously. Elegantly and poised like a real princess. Thousand of applauses were heard across the whole ballroom. Cheering and laughing made more butterflies fly in my stomach.
I finally reached the front of the descending stairs. All my subjects looks so small from up here. Don't fall Lucy. One step on the stairs. Followed by another. And another. Slowly. Head high up. Smile. The last few steps made me almost tripping from the heels. FINALLY. All cheerful laughs and cheering increased.
"Lets party everyone!" My mother shouted from her throne and patted on the other throne directing me to sit. I hung my head down in embarrassment and walked towards my mother as quickly as my heels could take me. Don't be rude Lucy.
"Mother could you act a little. . . you know, Like a queen." I forced a smile.
"Oh honey, I am no longer a queen. I retired since you came. Your the queen now! I'm not going to be here much more longer." She said sadly, trying to sound happy.
"What do you mean retired? Where are you going? I just saw you after 13 years. And most importantly, what do you mean me being the queen?!" I exclaimed tears about to escape. Everyone turned towards the scene. Music stopped. Cheerful laughter stopped. Don't cry Lucy. Happy turned to shock. All eyes were on us.
"What I mean is . . . I am going to be put into eternal sleep. I know it's hard for you, but this is for the sake of The dragon realm. With me here, The magic is just not balanced. It's just going to crumble apart with this much power here. Once you master every drop of magic here. I would already be in the dreamworld. Don't worry Lucy, I will forever look after you. Please understand that this is a matter regarding everyone here. If the magic in this world overflow, all chaos will spread, not only in the dragon realm, but all the dimensions. So please Lucy, I don't want to see you sad. I want you to be happy and cheerful like the one I knew when you were young." She said as she wiped my now flooding tears. My mascara streaming down.
By now everyone was tearing or hanging their head down. In that moment, I ran out of ballroom. I threw my heels across the hallway, running as fast as I could towards my room and slammed the door. Smile Lucy. I can't.
My whole first night in the room was just crying and screaming. Why is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this? I just can't take it anymore.
I cried throughout the whole time writing this story. I am so damned tired but I kinda feel proud with this chapter. Don't worry guys, the happier will come. Just be patient. But please don't forget to press that star that is calling to you for happier life. I'm getting emotional again. But anyway thank you guys for reading and have a great day! BYE!
