Hey everyone. I am so so sorry about not uploading sooner. I have been ridiculously busy with class and work, not to mention working on my wedding. I've been trying my hardest to get some writing done, but unfortunately by the time I get home most days all I want to do is sleep. I'm hoping I'll be able to rectify that soon. This story is going to be my main focus, and I'm going to try to get this story done as soon as I possibly can so I can work on my other stories. Anyhow, I know this chapter is short, and I'm sorry- hopefully the next one will be longer, and more worthwhile. Hope you all enjoy anyways!

Tom and Rupert sat in silence on the set of their new movie. The two of them hadn't been in Los Angeles very long; the two of them had met here only the night before. Tom had flown in from Detroit where he had been staying with Adrianna, and Rupert arrived from London soon afterwards. The friends had been at the set all afternoon, preparing a bit for the movie. Tom was busy reading over the script, trying his hardest to get some of his lines memorized before they started filming. There would be no filming today, something that was relieving to him, but they were to be meeting the rest of their costars. If there was one thing that always bugged Tom, it was the anticipation of knowing who he was going to be stuck working with for God only knows how long.

"Who do you think they have us working with?" Rupert broke the silence. "Do you think it's someone awesome?"

Tom shrugged, glancing up briefly from the script. "No idea, but I suppose we'll find out soon enough."

He went back to reading the lines in front of him. Looking at the script, it honestly could've been anyone. There were roles for all sorts of people- young, old, male, female- and Tom knew he could very well end up with working with just about anyone. He was hoping there would be at least someone he knew other than Rupert, but those chances never seemed to work in his favor. Sure enough, when Tom looked up from the script again, the director walked in, a group of people following in behind him.

The director started talking, but Tom honestly wasn't paying him any attention. He was busy looking at the group of people standing behind him. The young man scanned the crowd, trying to recognize any of the other actors. From where he was sitting it was hard to tell who he was exactly looking at, but for the most part they were unrecognizable to him. That was... at least until he looked a little closer.

Standing towards the back of the group, there was one face he did know- one he had been hoping he would never see again. Standing on the far side of the group was a tall, thin brunette girl. The girl in question's eyes met his for the first time, and there was a moment of indecision. He couldn't tell if she was glad to see him, or if she was ready for a fight. But that moment was short-lived. The look of uncertainty was soon replaced by a scowl, and Tom wasn't quite sure why.

Of course the girl in question was he ex-girlfriend, Jade. He wasn't quite sure how she had managed to swing a part in this movie, nor did he exactly care. But seeing her reminded him of all the hell she had put him through only a few short years ago. He wasn't happy to see her again, and obviously the feeling was mutual. Tom knew he had to tread lightly with this situation; he was sure Jade was going to make his life a living hell through the filming. Worst of all, he wasn't sure how Adrianna was going to take him working with his ex.

Once the director was done talking, and most of the other aspiring actors began chatting amongst themselves, Tom stole away from the group. Rupert decided to follow close behind his best friend, just as puzzled as Tom was. The two came to a stop outside by their rented car. The young men leaned against it, staring out into the busy traffic of the nearby street.

"What do you think she's up to, mate?" Rupert asked, kicking a pebble sheepishly.

Tom shrugged. "I'm not sure, but I'm sure it's not anything good." He sighed. "I mean... what are the chances she was able to get into the same movie as us?"

"No idea, but not high," Rupert thought out loud. "It almost seems like it was set up, you know? As if someone wanted to see what would happen."

A set up? Until now the thought hadn't even crossed Tom's mind. Sure, it made sense- Hollywood always loved juicy stories- but who in their right mind would seriously go through with a deluded plan like that? Already, Tom was sure someone was going to start spreading rumors, try to put a story where there was none. What bugged Tom the most about this situation was that he was nearly positive the wrong things were going to reach Adrianna, and that it would cause a blow up of epic proportions.

The boy sighed. "I guess only time will tell how this turns out."
