Hi guys! This took me forever, despite my best efforts to get this story finished. Mainly due to my finals starting up and ending, and then me wanting to take a few days to relax. But anyways, this is where things really pick up, so I hope I can finally knock this out of the park and get this story finished sooner rather than later. Hope you all enjoy! :)

Adrianna sat quietly on the couch in the living room, working on an assignment for class like usual. Even though the television played her favorite show in the background, the girl was still bored outside her ever-loving mind. Luckily for her, Marisa was on her way over. Both girls figured that spending the next few days together would help speed up the time that Tom and Rupert were gone filming in the States. Adrianna sighed at the thought; there was no telling how long that would be.

Adrianna shook her head, trying to put her focus back on her homework. Between Supernatural playing in the background and her thoughts, she was never going to get this assignment done. She picked her pencil back up and began to continue the hill-shading assignment she had been fighting for about an hour now. However, she didn't get far; after just a few moments, the front door opened and Marisa strode into the room, a box of pizza in hand.

"Honey, I'm home!" she called out, shutting the door haphazardly behind her.

"I see that," Adrianna laughed at her friend. "And you brought dinner?"

"Of course I did love! I can't let you starve!" Marisa insisted, setting the box on the table in front of Adrianna. The girl glanced at the television, trying to figure out what Adrianna was watching. "More Supernatural, eh?"

Adrianna sighed. "Yea... I thought it might be able to calm me down enough to actually do this work, but all it has done is distract me."

Marisa plopped down on the loveseat, rolling her eyes in the process. "I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. Every time you watch this show you just end up staring at what's-his-name."

Adrianna shot her friend a glare. "His name is Sam, and he has fabulous hair."

Marisa had begun rifling through the pizza box, not even seeing her friend's facial expression. "Yea, yea, yea. It's your story. But if I were you, I'd do my homework and stop paying attention to hot guys."

"Says you," Adrianna retorted, snatching a piece of pizza right before her friend shut the box. "But... you can change the channel. This is the one where the angel residing in Sam goes crazy and kills Kevin, and I would rather not relive that."

"Ooooo... your man is a killer," Marisa jested, grabbing the remote from the table. The girl began to flip aimlessly through the channels. "So there's another qualification to be one of your men."

Adrianna raised an eyebrow. She was curious to know what her friend meant by that. "Do tell. I was unaware of these so called qualifications."

"Obviously fabulous hair," Marisa began, "and then they have to be dark, mysterious, and or a killer."

Adrianna shook her head, taking a bite off the slice. "Examples?"

"Well there's Sam Winchester, Loki, Artemis Fowl... Draco Malfoy," Marisa listed with a smirk. "Need I say more?"

Her friend did have a point. Adrianna sure knew how to pick them. Any time she had picked a fictional guy, he had a dark side. "Alright, alright," she forfeited. "You win. I'll stop paying attention to boys and do my work. Goodness, mom."

Adrianna zoned out, focusing on her homework once again and finishing her piece of pizza. She went back to shading a part of the paper like she had been when her friend showed up. What she was doing must have looked like scribbling to Marisa as her friend asked, "Are you just coloring over there?"

Adrianna shook her head. "No. It's hill shading." She picked up the paper, showing her friend. "See... there's these contour lines, and we have to shade in the part of the hills and valleys that would be in the shadow of said hill depending on where the sun is located."

"You lost me when you said contour lines," Marisa admitted.

Adrianna smiled, shaking her head slightly. "It's not too hard, Risa. I promise. Plus he's pretty much giving us points for trying."

"Fair enough," the other girl retorted.

Adrianna went back to work, trying her hardest to get it done so she could actually do something more enjoyable. The girl was just over half way through the semester, and she was ready for it to be over already. It had been a drag, and Adrianna was exhausted from constantly working. The girl was ready for Christmas break, and the three weeks off it brought her.

After about ten minutes, Marisa broke Adrianna's thoughts. "Uh... Dree? You might want to see this."

Adrianna glanced up from her homework only to see Marisa pointing at the television. It was on one of those shows focusing on celebrities and their lives. Honestly, Adrianna normally paid them no heed, knowing exactly how misleading they could be. This time, however, Adrianna could not believe what she was seeing or hearing.

"...it would seem that local celebrity Tom Felton will be starring in a new movie along with his ex-girlfriend..."

Adrianna felt her blood beginning to boil. Tom hadn't told her that he was working with Jade. And now she was hearing about it through celebrity gossip of all places. She felt somewhat betrayed; she knew he had to have known about this earlier when he called. Why didn't he mention it? Adrianna took a deep breath, trying to shake off this latest development. The girl closed her eyes, resting her head on the back of the couch.

"Just... change the channel," she muttered quietly. The girl didn't want to hear any more about it. Not until she was able to get more information for herself.

The room was quiet for a moment, as Marisa changed the channel to the one used for the Xbox 360. "Do you want me to talk to Rupert? See if he knows anything?"

Adrianna shrugged. She honestly didn't know if Rupert would give out any information if he knew any. The girl knew how best friends were; one would lie and the other would swear to it. She would know; there had been many times she had done the very same for one of her friends. Adrianna knew the only way she was going to get the information she craved was by asking Tom herself. Adrianna was trying to tell herself this was just a coincidence, that Tom wasn't trying to do anything behind her back. But her mind just couldn't shake the possibility that something was truly amiss.
