-Theo's POV-
"Mom, are you home?" I yelled out, Della was walking behind me taking in my parents modern mansion they built a couple years ago.
"In the living room honey!" I heard her yell, I looked behind me and smiled slightly at Della. She was going to meet someone whose opinion matters to me a lot, my mother means the world to me because she's supported me through everything I've done with no question.
"Mother, I would like you to meet Della. Della, this is my mom."
"Why hello there sweetheart, how are you?" My mother said smiling, she was honestly surprised I brought a girl to meet her I can tell.
"I'm doing okay, had a hard day today..." She opened up to my mom, that's huge for her!
"Why's that?"
"I met my mom who left me and my brother when I was little to go build the "perfect" family with the man she cheated on my father with, it didn't go too well. How was your day Mrs. Jones?"
"My day is much better now thank you, whose your mother if you don't mind me asking?"
"Her mom is Mrs. Thompson, Renee's mom... Remember her?" I said, my mom hated Mrs. Thompson with a passion and my mom loves everyone!
"That woman, I can't stand her! And her kids, they have no pride or respect for anything, they need manners taught to them! You turned out quite amazing Della, lucky your father was most likely a good man by the judge of your outcome.." My mother said, Della smiled genuinely at her.
"I can't stand them either, but actually my brother has been raising me for the last five years. My father died in an accident supposedly, I'm from New York originally but moved to California three years ago to San Francisco since my brother got a really good job promotion, then I moved to Venice for another promotion! and now finally I'm here in this gated community!" My mother likes her, I can tell and that's awesome because my mother usually isn't very fond of most of the girls I've showed her.
"Wow, you're brother is a miracle. How old is he?"
"He's twenty-three this year, I'm turning eighteen in a couple of months which actually happens to be the same day as my brother who will be turning twenty-four ." I didn't know they shared a birthday, that's weird yet cool at the same time!
"Well, he's done a wonderful job raising a well mannered girl like you. I like her Theo, don't lose this one... She's a keeper." My mom said smiling in front of Della, wow... THIS IS AWESOME! I hugged my mom and kissed her cheek as I walked away to take Della upstairs to drop off the bags, Della stayed behind to talk to my mom for a few more seconds though so I listened.
"Thank you so much Mrs. Jones for the compliments, it means a lot that someone whose raised such a remarkable son said that about me..." Della said, I smiled at that little comment she made about me.
"Please Della, call me Annette. Also, you're very welcome, you're a very bright young lady who I know has a bright future ahead of her. Take care of my boy though, he can be a handful! Have a good Christmas Eve, maybe I'll see you again soon..." My mother said, I knew they hugged and then Della started coming up the stairs but she saw me smiling.
"You are the remarkable one, but thanks for the compliment none the less!" I said smirking, she smiled at me while rolling her eyes as we made it to my room. It's not anything extremely cool, my walls are a darker gray with white trim. I have pictures of sports cars on my walls and then pictures of me racing along with many pictures of Zeus and I growing up together, I have one I just put up the other day though which was the day Della and I surprised each other at school with our outfits that we saved for that special day which was the night after we FaceTimed all night long and fell asleep.
