-Arielle's POV-
I can't believe I waited three years to see my other half, it was stupid to wait this long because I went through hell not being able to be beside her to watch her grow up. I'm glad I contacted Holden a month ago, he helped me do the surprise today... I'm just extremely happy to be here to watch her reach a milestone in her life, I plan on spending everyday with her until we finally catch up and then possibly fulfill our dreams we had planned three years ago.
-Della's POV-
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I'm Della Page and I transferred here from Venice. I originally moved here from New York where I moved to San Francisco, then to Venice, and lastly to the place I call home now, the beautiful city of Los Angeles!" some people cheered, I smiled as I continued with my speech,"When I first moved here, I was the new girl who had a Lamborghini. I had people who treated me like crap at first, people who I immediately started liking, also a person who I liked as more than a friend, yet also people who saw me as a preppy girl who probably couldn't drive the car I came to school in worth a crap. Everybody was very prejudice, which is expected in this generation of people, but now I am proud to call a person who treated me like crap one of my best friends, talking to you Zeus! Also, to call the person I liked as more than a friend immediately my lovely boyfriend yet also my best friend, talking to you Theo!" everybody "awed" at the Theo part as I smiled.
"Before I came here, I thought I had lost everything... I hadn't had a mom apart of my life since I was little and my father died when I was young where I was left with my brother who is exactly five years older than me as we have the same birthday, I lost my best friend in a car accident where I thought the good Lord above needed another angel... But tonight, my best friend is here with me after being in hiding for three years to protect her and I! As a new student here, I didn't know what to expect when I walked through those doors as everybody stared at me in a different way before I met the lovely Mrs. Mitchell who gave me my schedule." she smiled at me in front row as I paused, this is where I got emotional typing this up.
"As a kid, we always wanted to grow up quickly to reach the next phase of our lives. We didn't ever want to live in the now because we were always focused on the future and the past instead of worrying about where we are now, our lives flashed by in the blink of an eye as we stand before you now in shock this day actually came. I wish I was still a little girl who played with Hot Wheels instead of Barbies, who learned to drive a car by the age of ten, who was street racing by fifteen, but now.. I'm the girl who actually made it to graduation, who made best friends she plans to keep by her side for a lifetime, and to hopefully spend the rest of my life with my soulmate... We are as young now as we will ever be, I don't like the fact I'm growing older as each day goes by! I don't like this part of life where growing up is inevitable, where you can't stop anything, I don't like the fact that I won't wake up everyday to go to school and mess around with my two best friends and spend the day with them. It's scary actually, that this is a huge change for us all..." I said as I had tears spilling out of my eyes, here's where this concludes at!
"Well, I realized I hadn't lost anything yet gained what was more important and that was love and friendship while also getting an education. Yes I may not wake up daily to do something productive like school, I may not be waking up anymore to spend the day with my friends, and yes I may be going to college after this is said and done... But one thing is for sure for all of us, we need to enjoy the presence of everybody around us now because you may never know if you'll see them again... On behalf of the senior class of L.A. North High School, I dare you all for the rest of your lives to wake up smiling because you are excited about living in the present and not focusing on past or future matters, you wake up ready for the day, and you wake up ready to live your life to the fullest! I, Della Page, am excited for what God has planned for me in the future and what he has done for me in the past... But I have never been more excited for living in the present with everyone that is here as I am now, thank you..." I said as I wiped my tears away, everybody in the gym stood up smiling and clapping giving me a standing ovation for my speech. I looked at Theo as he had tears in his eyes before looking to Zeus who was a mess, that's when they looked at each other and decided to run up on stage with me and hug me. I hugged them both in our group hug in front of everyone as they continued clapping and cheering, I waved with a smile as I walked backstage with my boys by my side.
