As we all know, Marshall's mom Debby was, in Marshall's eyes, was a bad mother. His friends say she would come in the house with groceries and would make dinner for him and his friends. Then anouther day she would slam open the door and kick everyone out including Marshall and throw his clothes out the window.
Debby always failed to keep a job for more than several months at a time which in turn made Eminem change schools 2 or 3 times a year.
when Marshall became famous, Debby filed a $10 million lawsuit for her son's song lyrics depicting Debby as a prescription pill popper. The case was later settled for $25,000.
Debby claimes Marshall grew up in a narcotic, alcohol, and nicotine free home and only said the awful things to further his career. She has denied all accusations that Marshall has accused her of in his songs.
On December 13th of 1991 Marshall's uncle Ronnie die from suicide. He commited suicide due to going through a heartbreak. Marshall was not allowed to go to the funeral back in Missouri but Debby went. Debby called Marshall after the funeral and they got into a heated argument. In the heat of the moment she said she wished Marshall was dead and not Ronnie.
