"Serana" I mumbled as I saw her and a man come in. I hadn't seen her in hundreds of years. I didn't know where she had went. "Y/N" Serana said as she neared me.
She remembers me.
"Serana" I said again, the words felt pleasant but odd as they escaped my mouth. Lord Harkon looked taken aback by the sudden return of his daughter. I didn't have much time to see how everyone else reacted before Serana ran into me, wrapping her arms around me. I held her close, breathing in her lovely scent. "I missed you" I murmured as I held onto her. I heard someone clear their throat, I saw Lord Harkon standing there, I let go of Serana, allowing her to face her father.
I went down to the cattle, making sure there was a Nord there. Serana liked the taste of the Nord blood more than any other kind. I thought she would be weak. I had no idea why she left in the first place, but it didn't matter. She returned and she was safe.
I overheard Harkon talking to Serana and the man who brought her back about Auriel's bow. After they were done speaking I approached her. "You don't have to go do this" I said and put a hand on her shoulder. "I have to do this. It's-it's the only way. I don't want to stay away from you any longer but I must go" she said. We shared one last embrace and then, she was gone.
Days that felt like months went by. Each day seemed to go by slower and slower. Serana and her friend returned with a scroll that was supposed to tell them about the bow, and a Moth Priest.
Soon I set out to find more cattle for us. We started running low after Serana had fed since she hadn't fed in centuries. It felt like Serana had been gone for years, I couldn't hold her or see her. It was bittersweet to let her come back to me only to have to leave again. I returned with cattle and discovered Lord Harkon seeming quite excited. "Their finally getting to retrieve the bow" he said.
It has been over two months since Serana set out on this quest and I was beginning to worry. I say, apparently looking extremely dejected, in the great hall when suddenly a burst of light came into the room. I turned and there she was, my lovely Serana. "Your father is waiting" said a voice, I couldn't care who it was, I was too focused on her. She barely even looked at me when she came in, she went straight to her father.
None of us knew what was happening, I was the most out of the loop. I had no clue what this bow did and why we needed it. But soon I saw Serana and her friend come back in. She came over to me and looked into my eyes. "My father is dead. He wanted to blot out the sun with our arrows. I couldn't let him put Nirn into eternal darkness" she said. "I understand. What will happen to us now" I asked. She looked to her friend. "He will be our new leader" she grinned. "Come on. I want to talk to you" I said. We went to the "bedroom" where the coffins were. No one was in there. "I missed you so much" I murmured as I pulled her into a hug. She squeezed back, "I know love. But now we can be together. Father can't keep us apart any longer" she said. I brushed her black hair away from her pale face. Oh so gently I placed a kiss on her lips. She pulled out a chain and on that chain I saw he intricate amulet and the turquoise pendent. She put it on her neck. "I picked this up on my travels. It lets someone know you're eligible for marriage" she said. I wrapped my hand around the amulet and pulled it off her. "Not anymore you aren't" I whispered and placed my hands on her hips, pulling her close to me as I kissed her.
