"W-what?" troy asked, stunned.

He could hear sobbing on the receiving end, and sniffing.

"He left me!" He fucking left me! He left us!" she screamed into the phone.

Troy didn't know what to do. He wanted to help. But he was silent. Like the trees.

His sister was trying to keep calm. She was trying to get words out.

"I need to clear my head. I have a big favor to ask of you."

And there it was. The infamous favor she always asked for when she called. It was always something he didn't really want to do, but given the circumstances, he probably should do whatever his big sister wanted.

"Anything. I'll do anything for you." he said solemnly

"Will you take care of Grace?

What.

"Please. I really need this. I'm going to try to find John."

"Cloe-"

"Please. you're all we have." she cried

Troy sighed into the speaker.

"I supposed. But, Chloe, I don't even know her."

"Oh, don't worry, she usually is plugged into her music. She wont bother you at all!" she said with a new light in her voice.

"Okay, great." he sighed, with a hint of sarcasm.

"Oh man, I love you! I'll drop her off probably tomorrow night."

"Okay. I love you sis, but you owe me."

the phone hung up.

"What a day." He said aloud to himself.

He pulled off his clothes, brushed his teeth, and went to bed.

He was running. Running fast. He was running towards something- no. Someone. He was running through trees. A forest. He heard someone. Someone was screaming, for him. They were getting louder and louder.  He saw someone. Someone he thought he knew. He couldn't see the mans face, it was blurry. He ran into his arms. The taller man kissing his forehead delicately.  "I thought I lost you." he murmured. Lips fluttered over lips in a frenzy. The blurry boy let go of him. He slipped away. His legs felt like he was running in water as he tried to chase after the blurry faced boy. He lost him. He didn't even get to say goodbye. And he cried.

Troy bolted up, covered in sweat. His eyes were red and stinging. He didn't understand. This dream boy would be the death of him, and he wasn't even real. He looked over at his clock. The time was 6:52 am.

"Shit! I'm late!" he yelled in a frantic voice.

Here was his schedule:

Pull on something that was most-likely clean- 1 minute

style his hair to perfection- 30 seconds

Brush teeth and deodorant- 1 minute 23 seconds

It was a very hectic morning, but he managed to get to school a couple of minutes early.

Troy walked up the steps to get to his office, and he noticed something.

Mandy wasn't at her desk. Ok ok, it might seem like he was expecting to much from a hang-overed lady, but she always did this and she always was the first person there the next day. This was really un-Mandy-ish.

The next couple of minutes went by, and she still wasn't there.

The door swung opened, and in came a flustered, red, and frankly, sweaty Mandy.
