inspired by an interview in which tyler stated josh being a very observant person
josh notices that tyler's in a bad mood and decides to do something about it
(tiny one shot)
"You're upset.", Josh said, squinting his eyes a little at Tyler.
He was sitting on the couch and had muted the TV as Tyler had walked in.
Tyler stood at the kitchen counter and looked over to Josh. "You're observing me.", he simply replied.
"I am. Are you gonna tell me what's wrong?"
"No. Don't think so." Tyler shrugged.
"Well then stop lounging around like death is coming after you and come over here." Josh turned towards the TV again.
"Why? You want to talk about somethin'?", Tyler raised an eyebrow at Josh.
"No, I just can't stand seeing you sad. So whatever you had planned for this evening is cancelled, we're gonna binge-watch your favourite show and I'll order some pizza. Anything else you really want right now?"
Tyler hesitated a bit and then slowly said "... cuddle?!"
Josh turned around and Tyler could see a warm smile form on his face. "Sure. I'm happy with that but, you know... I think you'd actually have to get next to me for it to work, so.."
Tyler grinned and walked over to flop onto their couch next to Josh. He quietly nestled himself into the other boy's arms and smiled as he chose the show on Netflix and could hear Josh talking to the pizza delivery service.
"What did I do to deserve you, man?", Tyler whispered. Josh just shrugged.
And Tyler was happy because this was gonna be a good night and Josh's arms were around him and he could not only hear but also feel him breath and feel his heart beat.
And Josh was happy because he could feel Tyler being happy and because he knew that he was part of the reason why.
Tomorrow was far away.
