To say that I was the happiest person in the past three days would be the most blatant lie. Hence, my friends lied on my face by merely saying that I was lucky to have the chance to eat lunch with Riley.

We have been eating at the same cafe since day one. I didn't complain since their cheesecakes and smoothies were heavenly and Riley paid for everything. Would I still be choosey?

I asked him one time if he always eat lunch there and he said he didn't and he just felt like having cheesecakes every time he was with me which didn't make any sense at all. What did feeling like eating cheesecake had anything to do with me? Unless he thought I looked like one but I doubt it.

It was fourth period now and Tanya had been bugging me to ask Riley to eat at the school cafeteria with us. And I have rejected that request a thousand times but she insisted a million times. Giving up, I just told her I would ask him but I wasn't sure how. You don't just ask him for favors, you need to have a deal. That was how this stupid lunch with him had started afterall.

When the bell rang for the final period of the day, I slipped my notes inside my satchel and slung it on my shoulder.

Chris, Tanya and Sophie were waiting for me outside chatting about non-sensical things again probably or making fun of Tan. She was our entertainment when we were bored and she was clearly fine with that.

Chris got tickets for the premiere of Thor so we had agreed to all go and watch. Besides, Chris had been generous to treat us which was rare.

"Hey munchkin," somebody said from the shadows which was obviously Riley.

Rolling my eyes I gestured my friends to go ahead and I would follow but Soph and Tanya insisted they would wait. I, on the other hand would have preferred it if they left me alone to deal with this guy.

Since I knew there was no way they would leave, I turned from them and walked towards Riley which was a couple of meters away from us, hiding under the shade of the old tree just by the school gates.

"What do you want this time?" I asked, annoyed that he would bother me even after school hours.

He walked out of the shadows and he had his usual smirk across his face. If he wasn't so annoying, I wouldn't deny the fact that he was hot. Well, I didn't deny it but I didn't want to accept that I was affected by that fact. Because no matter how hot or cool he was, his annoying, arrogant self would always override all the positive things about him.

"I'm just checking you. What's wrong with that?" His face looked so innocent when he said that that I almost believed it. But I knew better.

"Why do you need to? Are you my dad?"

"Yes, I am. Now go home," he said in a low voice.

My eyes widened because it almost resembled my dad's. His tone slipped off a bit but if not, he would have gotten it perfectly.

"Now do you believe me?" He said arrogantly.

"No. So just leave me for a while will you? I'm not going home just cause you tell me to." I turned around and walked back to my friends. They didn't seem to hear anything we talked about because they had a neutral expression on their faces.

"Then I'll come with you," Riley shouted from where he stood.

My head snapped to his direction and saw that scowl on his face. I didn't know what that was for but I wouldn't ask him that though I was so curious why he scowled instead pulling off a smirk.

"What? Why?"

"I want to watch a movie."

"Since when?"
