I woke up to the sound of the opening theme of Star Wars. It reminded me that I had to change it.

Star Wars was something from the old Simon. The nerdy sidekick who was desperately in love with Clary Fray.

That's not who I am, at least not anymore.

Now I am Simon Lewis, the fledgling who is going to negotiate with the vampire clanleader.

I grabbed my phone to stop the alarm from disturbing the in tire institute.

The (older) Lightwoods kicked me out but Alec and Izzy gave me the permission to stay in the basement just outside the church.

Alec and Izzy both weren't on very good therms with their parents.

Izzy because Maryse found out that she was still seeing Meliorn.

But especially Alec, who left his bride-to-be at the altar and kissed Magnus Bane, the high warlock of Brooklyn. Who is, to much displeasure of Maryse and Robert, a downworlder, in front of the in tire clave.

Before I got intirely lost in my own thoughts, I grabbed my clothes and got dressed. I looked at my phone 20:05 "Good" I thought to myself.

I knew that the sun was beginning to set at 19:30 and at 19:50 it was completely dark.

I grabbed my jacket and walked out the basement into the backyard of the institute.

"Simon!", I hear Luke say " Hey Luke!" "Simon, I wanted to be the first to say goodbye because I have a small gift fir you".

Luke handed me a little black box and made a gesture to me to open de box. I opened the black box and saw an old pocket-watch.

"What do you think?" Luke asked me. "It's beautiful, I don't know what to say", I said speechless.

This is a very special watch, when the sun is about to come up the watch will turn red and it will become very hot",

Luke said smiling," This way you won't have nasty surprises."

"Thank you Luke." "No problem kid, and remember my offer still stands, you're always welcome at Jade Wolff."

"Thank you, but you know I can't." I said while giving Luke a firm handshake.

"I'm so going to regret this mundane, but I might miss you" Alec said while giving me a handshake. " I'll miss you too Alec", I said.

Somebody jumped at me and gave me a hug " I'm going to miss you Simon"
Izzy said with a few tears in her eyes.

"I'll miss you too Izzy, I'll miss you too."

"Simon" I heard a familiar voice say.

Hey there mundane's,

I know, I know It has been a while since the last update, but I'm on a holiday with my family and there is no internet😣😣😣
But I managed to get wifi so you guys can enjoy the new chapter😘
