Recap

" I'm going to miss you Simon" Izzy said with a few tears in her eyes.

" I'll miss you too Izzy, I'll miss you too."

" Simon " I hear a familiar voice say.

Simon P.O.V.

I turned around and saw Jocelyn standing there.

"Jocelyn", I say surprised, " I'm so happy that you came",

"Of course I came, I needed to give you a proper goodbye", she said," So here it comes."

"Simon, I wish you all the luck in the world and if there is anything we can do to help you, we will." "Thank you" I said with a lump in my throat.

I stepped to the front of everybody, so they could see me, and said: "Thank you all for letting me stay here and thank you for helping me out with Camille." I said smiling.

There was a brief moment of silence and then everybody clapped in their hands and headed back inside the institute to their rooms or those who had night patrol went to get their blades.

Alec walked over to where I was standing and made gesture to me to follow him. We walked to an old staircase and stared walking down the stairs, while we walked down I looked up to see the dark New York sky slowly disappearing while we walked down.

After a little while all the light disappeared and it was pitch black. Which was, obviously, no problem for me but Alec could not see in the dark.

I was wondering how he could see and I was about to ask him. When he stopped and burned a new rune in his forearm.

It was probably the night sight rune or something like that because when Alec was done he walked twice as fast and if it was not for my vampire speed I surely could not have kept up with him.

When we reached the bottom of the stairs I followed Alec who started walking to Camille's cell.

Time skip

I drove my van in front of the institute where Alec was waiting with Camille, we chained her hands and feet with a silver chain so she couldn't run away. Some parts weren't silver otherwise I couldn't take her with me.

I parked the car right in front of them and stepped out the van to help Alec.

We were putting Camille in the backseat and while we were doing that I heard a soft and familiar voice speak.

"Simon?"

I turned around and saw Clary.

I glanced at Alec who gave me a nod and he turned to make sure Camille wasn't able to escape.

I turned to Clary and gestured her to speak "Simon, I am so sorry for my behavior the last couple of days, I am so sorry for avoiding you today, at your last day at the institute." She looked at me with tears forming in her eyes. "It's just.... I couldn't..... I can't..." She said now crying.

"Look at me," I said," Take a deep breath and spit it out." She took a deep breath and said

"I just can't live without you, Simon". She said." I can't live without you.... because I love you"

"Please Simon say something", Clary pleaded," Anything".

I looked at her completly stunned, not knowing what to say or if I was even able to speak.

" I'm sorry Simon, I'll just go" Clary said turning around with tears in her eyes.

"No"

I said and with that I took her arm spinned her around so she was facing me and kissed her, slowly and gently at first but soon the kiss was passionate and heated, by far the hottest kiss I had ever had.

That kiss, the sweet taste, her lips against mine. That was all I could think of the entire car ride. How good she had tasted, how amazing it was and how she had wispered in my ear after the kiss

" I love you "

But all those happy thoughts and feelings disappeared after I'd said goodbye to Alec and when I stood with a chained Camille in front of the hotel DuMort.

I looked up to the sky and saw on the roof of the hotel, two ice cold eyes looking straight into my soul.....
