It was Christmas time. All the students at Sakura High were either here having fun with friends or on a family or personal vacation. I was here at Sakura High. The twins Haruka and Minako were out with family and Daisuke left to be with his "girlfriend" he found over the weekend. Asami was here with me, one of the 20 students still on campus during Winter Vacation.

It was just me in the Literary club room, reading Shredded by Xi Kenzi (shout out to you, you know who you are). I was on page 17 when Asami walked in. She crouched in front of the space heaters the teachers had set up in most of the club rooms.

"It's so cold outside," Asami said, her teeth chattering away.

I sighed.

"H-here, hold my hands," I said, shyly outstretching my hands.

Asami's face was one of excitement. She quickly grabbed my hands.

"Wow, you're hands are so warm, Kyo-kun!" Asami said giggling.

She sat there for a good minute, holding my hands, staring at me and smiling.

I looked away and let go.

Asami looked at the book I was reading and went a grabbed a second copy from the shelves on the other side of the room. We read, not talking, the space heater whirring in the background.

An hour passed before Asami said anything.

"Hey, Kyo-kun, what are you doing for Christmas?" Asami asked.

"N-nothing really. I usually just buy myself a year membership to this online game I play on the computer and hang out with my online friends there."

Asami smiled.

"Could I come over to your house on Christmas Eve?" she asked still smiling.

I thought for a moment.

"S-sure I wouldn't have a problem with that. But, what would you want to eat?" I asked.

"Anything as long as it's made by you," she said. "We can go shopping together."

I blushed.

It was Christmas Eve.

I met Asami at the square containing the shops downtown. A lot of people were there, doing last minute shopping possibly or just enjoying time out with their love or family.

She was dressed so casual and it looked good on her: a white scarf, black longcoat, jeans, full black gloves, and fur boots.

I was in a navy jacket, black pants, sneakers with a sky blue scarf wrapped around my neck and my mouth and blue mittens.

Asami smiled and waved at me as she was able to see me. I waved back.

"Wow, you look great, Kyo-kun. The casual outfit looks so good on you!" Asami said with joy.

I blushed.

"Y-your outfit looks much better than mine in terms of who it fits better..." I said shyly.

Asami looked surpised then smiled.

We walked to the vegatable stall that was indoors. Apparently, it was indoors so that they could maintain the tempature to a suitable level. I bought carrots, red and green peppers, pea pods and some honeydew.

We found the next store after a little searching: a butcher shop. Asami didn't like the inside much because it gave her the creeps so she waited outside. I bought some pork and proceeded outside to meet Asami. She was no where to be found.
